The offensive hemorrhaging is not due to the OC. It is due to Drinks lack of action. If Drink would have fired Moore and came out and said the offensive play calling and lack of creativity is unacceptable, he would have set a tone that better days are ahead. Instead he let Moore walk which told the players this is his offense and his offensive philosophy, so more futility to come.

Yeah, it's beginning to look that way. There is a quote from him a day or two ago: “Staff collaboration is probably one of the best things we do here in how we design and operate the game plan. We put it together, and then somebody’s gotta call it and call what they do. We’ll work through that the rest of this week as we’re going through who’s calling, talking to the quarterback and all that stuff." (referring to the bowl game planning)

So the game plans involving Drinkwitz, of course, may constrain the OC's play calling. I think the OC hire could give some clues about the future of the offense. And if the play calling next year stays close to the same as this year, we'll all know whose offense this is.

Icon, your comment on who he hires as a OC is dead on. This will speak volumes to the direction of the program offensively.

More than once during the season, Drinkwitz during in-game interviews said whichever team runs the ball the best will win the game. That tells you a lot about what was going on with this offense. Run first, run second, and pass if you have to. That works great against the likes of Central Arkansas and the lower-rung SEC teams.

Just food for thought.

Perhaps Drinkwitz through the grapevine knew Moore had the inside track for the WSU job and knew he wouldn't have to make that decision.

If I recall on his end of the season presser he mentioned the need for more creativity and converting with the passing game on third down.

Also if indeed MU isnt going to try and enhance the passing game and continue to run the ball especially the QB running why would Pribula up and leave? Thats his strength.

Wouldn't it be Zollers running to the portal instead?
