Re: Robert Bortuzzo returning to the Blues organization
I assume he has been brought back to punch somebody in the face at practice?
Was always a big fan of Bortz, to stick with the same organisation for 10 years as a 3rd pairing dman is actually pretty impressive.
He was v solid and as others have said enjoyed wearing the note.

What is his role? Assistant GM, assistant coach with the Blues, Springfield, consultant, TV personality?

He indicated it would mainly be scouting but of course things could change.hockey jedi wrote: ↑17 Dec 2025 14:52 pm What is his role? Assistant GM, assistant coach with the Blues, Springfield, consultant, TV personality?

He should work in game promotions, he was always good at giveaways.

No problem good talk. Bringing more mediocrity to a mediocre organization.SameOldBlues wrote: ↑17 Dec 2025 10:21 amAnd the peanis gallery has spoken. Thanks for your usual illustrious and thought provoking contributions.

A fantastic "Team Guy." Those are important and appreciated, often underrated, rarely on top production lines/pairings. Kind of like a Mike Peluso, but Bortuzzo was able to make more impact plays. His penalty kill contributions were very important. His contracts were fair for both him and the team. They did good with him, they did good when they let him go. Forget about the practice incident. Who knows the full background there? He was a fantastic informal leader through his actions.
Happy he agreed to help this team any way he can.

Practice incident was a feature not a bug. Players need to be held accountable even in practice.Old_Goat wrote: ↑17 Dec 2025 16:02 pm A fantastic "Team Guy." What’s wrong with wanting more for the organization?wiscrev wrote: ↑17 Dec 2025 20:03 pmYou don't like it, LEAVE! Some people will complain about anything.
