Younghopp1991 wrote: 09 Dec 2025 12:24 pm So kyrou has to put the puck in the net, get plenty of assists, fly at all times and plenty want him to be something else (understandable) but buch gets a break because he looks like he is trying hard. Buch is the same guy you couldnt sit for a game because “he might react poorly” look i get all the frustration but this argument is stupid. Get mad a kyrou for not playing like buch. Dont get mad at buch for not producing like kyrou. Stop moving the goal posts.
I think the point they are making is that at least Buch is giving 100%, maybe he just isn’t that good. I’d rather he try than float. He doesn’t hesitate to forecheck and crash into the boards to battle for a puck. Yeah he has made horribly dumb mistakes all season, as some of the others have, and that’s frustrating. Kyrou has improved since the crying incident, but this year he’s regressed. The equivalent I use is a beer league hero. He gets his snipe and feels like he doesn’t have to do [shirt] except float and wait for another dished puck.
Buch's issues seem to be in his own head. He gets frustrated things dont go his way it snowballs. Once he puts it together hes dangerous, he is already a well rounded player. I dont worry too much about Buchy

Kyrou is frustrating because hes gifted with all world athleticism but he wont get his nose dirty. When hes "on" hes hard to stop and the goals come easy. He wants to play on the perimeter and make pretty plays but once the NHL gets going by the second or third month it tightens up and you have play hard to score
You want your frail skill guy. Working the boards.

Smart. In a army fan type of way.
Name another "skill guy" who doesn't have to win puck battles. I'd like to see how that team makes it work.
Bingo x1000000!!
So two blues fan that wants Kyrou dumping and digging a corner instead of using his skill to go to the net and get one of the many goals scored when going to the net.

Makes good loyal Army sense. He taught you grasshoppers well.
So I see your reading comprehension appears to be below 6th grade, as you missed the whole point. Let me pick a key phrase above that you missed. “you have play hard to score”. That doesn’t mean dump and chase like a grinder, it just mean to have drive and battle for pucks and positioning, and be hard to play against. Do you prefer Brad Boyes 2.0?

I owe the board, especially Miami Law, an apology.

I am almost always irascible, though I try to admit it when I am wrong and have done so whenever I realize it. I went off the deep end on this thread, and when I reread my posts, I was shocked and appalled.
My closest relative still living in St. Louis is the daughter of my favorite Uncle. She lost her baby sister 30 years ago to an accidental shooting at the age of nineteen. Her 23-year-old son got dumped by his fiancée this Thanksgiving, and a couple of days later, he took a loaded gun to a Walgreens near Dorsett Road and shot at a cop - he missed, and I have no doubt he intended to miss. One of the policemen returned fire, and that young man got his wish.
I haven't been myself since then... I just can't understand it.
I have found myself looking for REAL fights ever since.

I sincerely apologize for my behavior.
(bleep) dude, that is horrible. I’m sorry you are having to deal with such a heavy situation.

Thanks to everyone who posted, or didn’t post encouragement, who were civil and no strangers to empathy.
It helps a lot when you get encouragement. I am truly grateful.

You know what?.

This could be a blessing for Kyrou and the team. He has been benched, but not in ignominy. It’s a heroic benching. He might be using his down town wisely to observe how all the other players compete…
It would have to happen without Holloway this time.

I don’t mind being corrected when it helps the Blues.

Harry, all the respect to you! We've collided on topics, but always polite. We're humans!
