I think the point they are making is that at least Buch is giving 100%, maybe he just isn’t that good. I’d rather he try than float. He doesn’t hesitate to forecheck and crash into the boards to battle for a puck. Yeah he has made horribly dumb mistakes all season, as some of the others have, and that’s frustrating. Kyrou has improved since the crying incident, but this year he’s regressed. The equivalent I use is a beer league hero. He gets his snipe and feels like he doesn’t have to do [shirt] except float and wait for another dished puck.
Buch's issues seem to be in his own head. He gets frustrated things dont go his way it snowballs. Once he puts it together hes dangerous, he is already a well rounded player. I dont worry too much about Buchy

Kyrou is frustrating because hes gifted with all world athleticism but he wont get his nose dirty. When hes "on" hes hard to stop and the goals come easy. He wants to play on the perimeter and make pretty plays but once the NHL gets going by the second or third month it tightens up and you have play hard to score

Winning a board battle, is different then playing to the corners. If my game was fast and down the middle, I wouldn't want to play slow and along the boards.

Each guy has coverage requirements and duties- if you can't or won't do yours then somebody else has to and that means their guy is uncovered or they aren't where they should be on offense. Recipe for bad play especially with all of the different line combos.

True. But that's what coaching is about. You make your system work around the players skil. Not beat a player down till he buys in on a defensive style that hasn't worked for him.
It makes no sense asking a 25yo to change everything he has known. Because the guy being paid for his hockey knowledge doesn't know anything else.

But there's more to it.
Being on a constant move makes a skater go further, stay closer on assignments, using less energy while hitting top speeds with slot opportunities.
Different then the slow, stop and start, throw into the corner, for some work. Waiting for net front.

Also, If your line is playing 'to the net hockey. You wouldn't worry of a defensive side assignment. As opposing teams would mostly need to change lines(like we do), not set up for offense.

Also, there shoulnt still be new lines every period. This more then anything [censored] up positioning. As every guy plays a different way. Playing together causes muscle memory. Knowing your linemates tendencies is how teams are formed.

Every problem comes back to management.

I'll keep this quick.

I owe the board, especially Miami Law, an apology.
'

I am almost always irascible, though I try to admit it when I am wrong and have done so whenever I realize it. I went off the deep end on this thread, and when I reread my posts, I was shocked and appalled.
My closest relative still living in St. Louis is the daughter of my favorite Uncle. She lost her baby sister 30 years ago to an accidental shooting at the age of nineteen. Her 23-year-old son got dumped by his fiancée this Thanksgiving, and a couple of days later, he took a loaded gun to a Walgreens near Dorsett Road and shot at a cop - he missed, and I have no doubt he intended to miss. One of the policemen returned fire, and that young man got his wish.
I haven't been myself since then... I just can't understand it.
I have found myself looking for REAL fights ever since.

I sincerely apologize for my behavior.

No need to apologize Harry but it’s water under the bridge. Always was. Appreciate it either way. There’s been way worse said on here.

So two blues fan that wants Kyrou dumping and digging a corner instead of using his skill to go to the net and get one of the many goals scored when going to the net.

I just saw this and wanna put my 2 cents in..not that anyone cares, nor should they, but that’ll never stop me, promise ::crazya:: ..

First off, Im sorry to hear about the difficult time you’re going through thru, sincerely…hang in there.

As to your posts in this thread, dont sweat the small stuff my friend. Anyone who’s bein honest and not trying to be a politically correct’gotcha’ goober knows you weren’t consciously trying to to post a racial slur and that ya didnt even realize others considered it one, but even if ya didnt, it wouldn’t of changed my opinion of ya one bit.

Every single one of us say something at some point that’ll offend some turd who’s just dying to find a reason to wave the offended flag. Regardless, it’s beyond obvious to most that you’re a good man cause you’re always the first to admit you’re wrong (even if you’re not, actually), and the first to apologize. That to me makes ya a hell of a dude who not only has a heart and has morals, but who doesn’t let petty pride get in the way of righting perceived wrongs. Alot of cowards with no dignity or integrity arent able to do that, period.

Keep on being you. Me and you have gotten into it before where neither of us were wrong necessarily, we just have a penchant for lettin things get heated sometimes, and that’s ok cause we worked it out in private like big boys :).

I dig your passion, dont let anyone ever let ya feel guilty for it. We need more people like you, not less. *Thumbs up*
