Completely wrong on both accounts. Stop the trolling. It's a waste of time (everyone's time) and unbecoming.WLTFE wrote: ↑08 Dec 2025 17:21 pmNot sure...if a person constantly 'claims many histories' to support their arguments...well, seems convenient especially when they mock other posters by saying...'I did this or I know someone ' that you don't...strikes me a desperate need for attention and a lonely life.sikeston bulldog2 wrote: ↑08 Dec 2025 07:52 amYes but where there’s smoke there’s fire. Cranny I’m glad you have your collage pitching memories and love watching the Rooks family when they make their ML debut. Most who post on this forum, including me are here to discuss if the Rook can make the team better on the way to a pennant and WS….if the answer is no then all your wonderful drama of boys in uniform, rookie parents…..is irrelevant. It’s really wonderful those things satisfy whatever baseball interest you have but again most of us want a WINNING DOMINANT MLB TEAMCranny wrote: ↑08 Dec 2025 17:42 pmCompletely wrong on both accounts. Wow...Cranny and I were told to put one another on ignore...which I have done...but he's quoting my posts...so, what part of anything can you trust?... looking forward to some more 'memories ' or fantasies?Goldfan wrote: ↑08 Dec 2025 18:10 pmCranny I’m glad you have your collage pitching memories and love watching the Rooks family when they make their ML debut. You addressed me directly based upon something I posted. I addressed you back. Go away, troll. You're taking up space and boring other posters.WLTFE wrote: ↑08 Dec 2025 18:16 pmWow...Cranny and I were told to put one another on ignore...which I have done...but he's quoting my posts...so, what part of anything can you trust?... looking forward to some more 'memories ' or fantasies?Goldfan wrote: ↑08 Dec 2025 18:10 pmCranny I’m glad you have your collage pitching memories and love watching the Rooks family when they make their ML debut. From what I found Colgate played very few and baseball ended shortly since it was a private school.Cranny wrote: ↑08 Dec 2025 13:59 pmJust over 20, Red. Senior year, a sophomore flame thrower from Chicago beat me out for #1. Ironically at the end of that season, he was signed by the Pirates, who paid his college expenses for his last two years, as he entered their minor league system in the summers.
Re: After 3 awful years now the cards want to rebuild lol
We had a southern trip to kick off the season. Started at University of North Carolina, East Carolina, then University of Virginia, and on up to the New Jersey and New York areas playing Rutgers, Columbia, etc. During the regular season we played Syracuse, Army, Navy, Cornell, Lehigh, Lafayette, Princeton, Yale, etc. You're right, it was a shorter season compared to big time D-1 baseball schools like Florida, Miami, Arizona, Stanford, USC, etc. Baseball ended after the University went coed in 1970. The woman had a club sport softball team and the men had a varsity baseball team. The women pushed hard and were able to establish a varsity softball team. Since there wasn't enough money for 2 varsities, the men's team became a club sport -which it remains today.OldRed wrote: ↑08 Dec 2025 19:04 pmFrom what I found Colgate played very few and baseball ended shortly since it was a private school.Cranny wrote: ↑08 Dec 2025 13:59 pmJust over 20, Red. Red. You're much nicer in person...only post about baseball...the forum rules don't apply to me...and I will always have the last word...OldRed wrote: ↑09 Dec 2025 07:29 amI think someone is in violation of what they were instructed on posting.Cranny wrote: ↑08 Dec 2025 17:42 pmCompletely wrong on both accounts. Actually, Red, there are 2 posters involved in that violation. But you already knew that. You just didn't mention it because of your fog of bias. But this poster is going back into ignore the troll mode. Suggest you do likewise.OldRed wrote: ↑09 Dec 2025 07:29 amI think someone is in violation of what they were instructed on posting.Cranny wrote: ↑08 Dec 2025 17:42 pmCompletely wrong on both accounts. This one i like. You’re pushing the needle to the red. Who knows who’s right. No substitute. It can happen.
