It kind of seems Donovan is that player this year. Should bode well for the Cardinals.
That's my point on Donovan being that current hot player. If the Yankees are, indeed, offering Dominguez and LaGrange. That's a pretty good start to what the Nationals got for Soto.
Per BTV:

CJ Abrams ($47.1M)
Robert Hassell ($38.7M)
Mackenzie Gore ($29.6M)
James Wood ($25.6M)
Jarlin Susana ($2.5M)
Luke Voit (-$0.5M)
Total: $143M

Vs.

Dominguez ($21.3M)
Lagrange ($10M)
Total: $31.3M

Yep, very similar hauls . . . Only $111.7M to go!
As I posted, "a pretty good start". Let the high stakes bidding continue. By the way, I'll take Lagrange (10M) over Gore (29.6M) for the future. It would be hard to turn down if the Yankees add another high level prospect to the offer.
So you think the “high stakes bidding” will drive the price of Donovan up 357% from the speculative offer you mentioned? Good luck with that.
not a good start....it's "A" start, but not a "good" one. Other teams have better starts.

And we're not even 15% sure this is reliable info....it's 2 fans doing a podcast. They have no insight into the everyday workings of the Front Office of the Yankees. Even beat writers don't have that much sway...but you'd trust the beat writers over the PodCasters in need of Clicks and Listens.
Obviously, Donovan won't bring the Soto haul. I was referring to a comparable bidding war scenario. I'm sorry I didn't make that more clear.
you didn't say that in your OP about a Bidding War...JohnnyMo is correct, you over sensationalize all the time. You made the "Sosa/Soto" comp with a Masyn Winn trade a few months ago....remember that? So your back-tracking claim now is null/pure B.S.
Yep, I'm usually pretty off on my outlooks. As you and others are so obsessed about pointing out. At least I made a very good call on Burleson's hitting potential as long time. How about giving me a little credit for that one? LOL I still can't quite figure out why a legendary CT poster like you is so concerned about what a peon like me posts. I think I have an idea. But I don't want to give myself too much credit. LOL

It's mind-boggling how concerned he is with what I post. He seems to scrutinize every single word I post. It may be about how he phucked up his Burleson analysis in past. Compared to my long-time positive outlook for the eventual Silver Slugger Award winner.

Or could it be that Craviduce, like many others, get tired of seeing you post the same garbage everyday? You have been asked many times over not to do so. Don't turn this into a poor ol Shady post, acting why you don't know why you get so much flak! Poor Shady! Craviduce brings more insight to this board with his knowledge of the minor leagues as well as major league discussions than any of your AI generated MSN (bleep) that you post! You were the one who said Burleson was the next Joey Votto/Tony Gwynn, genius. You "phucked" up the analysis. I can't wait for Burleson to put up the same numbers as Votto and Gwynn did in their age 27 seasons. For reference Gwynn's bWAR was 8.6 and Votto's was 6.6. This will be awesome!

Yes, breaking news from MSM, Shady is indeed a "Utility" poster! I wonder if the guy has ever had an original thought? Seems the only thoughts he can come up is stolen from some other location.
