Any chance the Devils would trade Mercer to us?

Buch 0 SOG again so far. The guy makes Craig Janney blush.

So who’s scoring the game winner for the Devils?
Re: GDT: Blues at DEVILS! 6:00 FanDuel
No, that wasn’t the point at all. Everyone has already made their feelings known ad nauseum, time to let it go.seattleblue wrote: ↑26 Nov 2025 19:35 pmIt sounds like you think the purpose of my mentioning it was to get it to change so I spotted your assumption error. On the Devils broadcast there is a professional working, it's not a podcast. the hockey action is being fully described.

Re: GDT: Blues at DEVILS! 6:00 FanDuel
When Thomas and he are driving the net every player in the league knows Thomas is passing so all of his passes are interrupted or they're off target. The few that get through and onto Buch's stick then go anywhere but in the net. Thomas seemingly cannot counter adjust to everyone getting the book on him and shutting him down, so he is not a true 1C as of yet. there are quickly a lot more centers coming into this league who are or are going to be better than Thomas
Re: GDT: Blues at DEVILS! 6:00 FanDuel
Best line is Devo/Neighbors/Hollaway…by far from being at game and seeing their position and play. Snuggy non-existent…Thomas skating in mud…Kyrou loses ever puck battle.
Re: GDT: Blues at DEVILS! 6:00 FanDuel
He played a a 90 point pace last season. 1C.seattleblue wrote: ↑26 Nov 2025 19:40 pmWhen Thomas and he are driving the net every player in the league knows Thomas is passing so all of his passes are interrupted or they're off target. That would be fair if it were gradually getting better but if anything I think our group is going further off the rails. It's going to continue to irritate people and we are going to continue to complain about it.netboy65 wrote: ↑26 Nov 2025 19:38 pmNo, that wasn’t the point at all. Fine but it gets silly when I see you write "it's not going to change so it's a fool's errand" and then repeat it back to you as understanding that's why you're objecting and then you say that's not it at all. I mean come on man that's ... that's the whole reason we do quote text. You're supposed to go "oh duh, that's what I wrote, it's quoted, I can't then in the next breath say that's not it at all ... " but nobody does that they act like the words aren't sitting right there. It's weird. Like the Blues broadcast. Which a person has to have paste-eating standards to like. They are not even describing half the action.netboy65 wrote: ↑26 Nov 2025 19:38 pmNo, that wasn’t the point at all. Re: GDT: Blues at DEVILS! 6:00 FanDuel
yeah the "true 1C" (like the "true 1D") can't play like he is playing for a quarter of the season-plus. it's about consistency. now clearly I wrote "true 1C" to distinguish that from 1C by default. right now he is the 1C by default and some years he has a "pace" that matches top production. yes, he had a lovely 27 game stretch last year where he mimicked 1C play. nice 1/3 season. low standards to accept that and then also accept this and say "true 1C"DawgDad wrote: ↑26 Nov 2025 19:41 pmHe played a a 90 point pace last season. 1C.seattleblue wrote: ↑26 Nov 2025 19:40 pmWhen Thomas and he are driving the net every player in the league knows Thomas is passing so all of his passes are interrupted or they're off target. If the front row brunette with the red tank top distracted Thomas on that slow saucer pass from Kyrou I'll okay it, otherwise unacceptable to not at least get a shot on that pass.
Overall, though, team looks good, but none of it means jack if you can't find the back of the net.

changed but that everyone has made their point so let it go already.

From what he has shown…he needs a strong Vet partner…beacause he loses position and his levarsge a lot.blackinkbiz wrote: ↑26 Nov 2025 18:09 pmOnly caught moments of a 101ESPN postgame discussion yesterday and not sure who the analyst was but think it was McKenna and he essentially placed the loss on the obvious lack of offense from the entire team but also on Mailloux.
Said you cannot treat the NHL like any other level and think you can get away with taking dangerous risks that get you out of position unless they're going to pay off. Obviously, NOT ONE of those risks has turned into a goal yet so for his sake, let's hope he can figure something out because 2 more mistakes last game resulted in 2 more goals against.
Perhaps your in-person perspective can decipher if this kid has ANY chance of being a positive influence this season.
Re: GDT: Blues at DEVILS! 6:00 FanDuel
There’s a positive contribution from Mailloux! Lol

Mailman out there drawing double minors
