Boy it would suck down the road to see Lindstein become the better player in that trade and we had and price controlled for awhile. Im not on board with this. I like the idea of Bowen Byram, 38 pts +11 last year is his best NHL season so far pretty good start to this year though 11pts in 22 games played we will see. I think it would cost you a lot to land him and im not so sure the juice is worth the squeeze at this point in the Blues developmentPierre McGuire wrote: ↑24 Nov 2025 14:06 pmThey are going to lose him in two years, he would like to be out of there now. I know they want NHL help so not sure we are a match for that.theograce wrote: ↑24 Nov 2025 13:40 pmWho you trading for Byram. I think Matheson is more likely, he’s older but he’s decent player, very active always involved with the play when he’s on the ice and the Blues have been interested in him for awhile just like they had some interest in Byram.

Re: GDT: Blues at Rags 6:00 FanDuel
Lindstein has always been the wild card for me in the Dvo draft. While all the attention was on Dvorsky as the potential top 5 talent that in most years is a lock top 5 and he slipped to us. Every year we had camp, the Blues pro's who would talk to media would say the buzz is around Lindstein. He is the guy that looks the most exciting. I personally don't know what that means when he hasn't gotten the cup of coffee and LM has. Except that LM is an AHL all star so he doesn't really have anything to prove down at the AHL anymore.Harry S Deals wrote: ↑24 Nov 2025 15:04 pmBoy it would suck down the road to see Lindstein become the better player in that trade and we had and price controlled for awhile. Obviously ALOT more of an upside than Mailloux, but obviously would cost ALOT more than Mailloux cost us...unless Army concedes the season and starts the sell-off I don't want another Bolduc for Mailloux trade...but again that upside is huge, if you look at the game played by D that class he leads by a huge margin.Harry S Deals wrote: ↑24 Nov 2025 14:59 pmthis is an interesting suggestion, i believe he had a knee injury maybe was not fully recovered, young guy. The top 4 has a chance to be really good. They just let Texier walk and the contract got terminated. How is there not some sideways 1 person vet signing/trade that can be made to just throw someone who isn't terrible on the 3rd line. EVEN if LM plays well with Fowler, the Faulk pairing just got significantly worse. Faulk has been playing good offense, Tucker is a weight. It only worked last year with Tucker and Suter because Suter was so responsible defensively.
This is just a problem they keep kicking the can on.
BOOK IT!

While I'm really not a fan, it was just for fun to see what responses came. I support and root for all Blues. Guess I should have used the blue font.

Feels to me like they're gonna win this one ...
Many rivers to cross
But I can't seem to find my way over
Wandering I am lost
As I travel along the white cliffs of Dover
Many rivers to cross
And it's only my will that keeps me alive
I've been licked, washed up for years
And I merely survive because of my pride

Fair enough. We have a few that like to bash regardless. No offense meant.wiscrev wrote: ↑24 Nov 2025 15:17 pmWhile I'm really not a fan, it was just for fun to see what responses came. I support and root for all Blues. Guess I should have used the blue font.

Do you think you are a better judge of performance than Chief?
How about Monty?
We are Kyrou “realists”.
We are not blind to his soul-killing faults as many are.

There’s one! They can’t help themselves! You really think your leading scorer should be playing 12 min a night on a team that’s 27th in the league in scoring? LolHarry York 37 wrote: ↑24 Nov 2025 15:56 pmDo you think you are a better judge of performance than Chief?

Don't ask me-
ask Chief.
ask Monty.
Ask Eddie Olzyck, who was as disgusted as myself and Minnesota, and all intelligent fans of the sport of ice hockey were about Kyrou's play in game seven.
You like shiny and flashy things I reckon.
Even if they are made of tin.
Especially their hearts.
If you can't see Kyrou quitting on plays... there is little hope for you. Kyrou has played better since he got his 8 plus million dollar a season asz scratched.
But he has much work to do to be "dependable".
he may still have a decent season., but he shortchanges himself, the team, and the fans.

Its weird being mad at your leading goal scorer…. For scoring the most goals on your team every season….. with (bleep) ice time. We get your heart broken. The comparison was what stats would kyrou put up with buch’s ice time.
Imagine getting so excited to hate on the only “core” player that has to pay a penalty. Do you see any of the core being held accountable other than a shift of two?

A taller, longer, LH version of Faulk for 2nd pairing duties... Former #4 OA by a division rival on a short, low-risk contract...DawgDad wrote: ↑24 Nov 2025 14:30 pmI thought we wanted bigger with longer sticks. Samuelsson was listed as a possibility? Longer contract, cheaper AAV, for a taller, longer player... But why is he available?
Do the Sabres want prospects, picks, or roster players?
Can we make another (dare I say his name) Boyes deal? Awfully comparable situation to Kyrou. 26 year old softy scores over 70 points and 30 goals after several good scoring seasons that included little to no physicality and spotty two-way effort.
Stolen from the top reddit article to come up on my search:
"In 2011, Blues GM Doug Armstrong traded Eric Brewer, Brad Boyes and Brad Winchester in three separate deals before the deadline. The team got three draft picks in return and they turned into … Jordan Binnington, Joel Edmundson and MacKenzie MacEachern."
So we'll say Schenn (C), Kyrou, and Tucker(?) traded before the deadline? No Captain named.
Could a Captainless Blues team make the playoffs?
Schenn to TBL for Bjorkstrand and a 3rd
Kyrou to Buffalo for Byram and next year's 2nd
Tucker to the Ducks for a 3rd?

I'm generally ok with trading the players you mentioned but I wouldn't opt for this specific return, and no way I do that Schenn trade. Bjorkstrand? No. Good luck getting a 3rd for Tucker but if they would, yeah.zamadoo wrote: ↑24 Nov 2025 17:15 pmA taller, longer, LH version of Faulk for 2nd pairing duties...
