How will/do you assess the difference between team skill in your comparison?

The C should make everyone on the ice with them better. However, I'm aware that the other linemates matter. Dvorsky is on the 2nd line, and Ritchie is on the 4th (I think), so Dvorsky should outshine Ritchie generally. Also, DVO was picked #10, so the natural skill and strength and speed should be noticeably better than the player picked at #27.

Dumb point Ritchie (and his hat trick) was not even in the same zip code of the top 10 in 2023.

We need Dvorsky to be good because Thomas is not good enough to be a 1C on a Cup winner, He does not have what it takes. Thomas is a complementary center. They need a top 3 pick this year so they can have Dvorsky and that player to build around, but the winning streak to end the Blues chances to truly get that player is coming sooner or later
Seattle you didnt think dvorsky was ready and so far he looks (drat) good for a rookie and Charbonneau looked better in training camp. is a goal a game player in the Qmjh

I always said Dvorsky was our best prospect and was not saying he was not ready – I said before camp I thought there was a good chance he would make the roster.

I also was the first person here to hone in on Carbonneau as my personal preference for who they'd draft. I am watching Carb's games this year with BLB. He is a perpetual scoring threat but the reason it's so many goals to assists is because they treat him like Ovechkin where it's "get it to Justin, he'll score." What you have to understand about him is he's a scoring predator and in a junior league there are so many miscues, mishandles, puck loose situations compared to the pros, even immediately to the AHL, that he is going to pounce on a ton of Grade A chances. He is burying Grade As, we know he can do that. Before Carbs is ready to play with the NHLers he has to spend time working with other players who are as skilled as he is. It's the "get it to the best kid" play right now.
