Losing two veteran defensemen in Leddy and Suter is really exposing just how important their experience was for us.

We have 3 #7's in Tucker, Kessel and Skinner playing as the #5 - #7. I was hoping Tucker would take another step and solidify himself as that #5/#6 guy but he has taken a step backwards.

Yep. That's exactly what the defense is...a bunch of 7's playing as the 3rd pairing. Not good.

The streak we went on last year was with players producing. Right now, we're reliant on depth scoring to save our top guys on a lot of nights (last night being one of the rare exceptions).

If you spend 25 million dollars on 3 players and they net you 7 even strength goals in 17-18 games, it's simply not good enough. Need a lot more from them, just playing good defense isn't good enough for Buch when you are being paid that much in particular. He's not getting into the dirty areas, does he forgot how he scored a hat trick in the post season?

I heard Rivers on 101 last week or week before last talking about people underestimating how much the Blues miss Faksa anchoring that 4th line. Not sure I totally agree but that 4th line definitely had more impact on a game last year, that’s for sure.

Not sure I agree with that. He was ok during the season. But I don't remember him being that impactful until the winning streak and of course the playoffs.

If the team is missing a 4th line center...there's much more going on.
