The first goal was one of those hard, close in shots that sometimes the goal goes in , sometimes they don’t, so I don’t completely blame Hofer-
although with that replay, it looked five hole to me.
Then an unfortunate penalty

Up to the point of the goal, I think we had some very good chances on offense. We had some very nice shots that could’ve gone in had we “interfered” with the goal tender by going hard after the rebound. I liked her offense until the first goal and then I heard the statistic that we hadn’t had a shadow goal for nine minutes. Wow can’t win like that.
So I think if we change our attitude and pepper this goal tender, we can score and tie the game, but the player seems to lack enough push. Prove me wrong.

The players the GM acquired for us have zero iron in them and you either have it or you don't

Losing two veteran defensemen in Leddy and Suter is really exposing just how important their experience was for us.

We have 3 #7's in Tucker, Kessel and Skinner playing as the #5 - #7. I was hoping Tucker would take another step and solidify himself as that #5/#6 guy but he has taken a step backwards.

I stumbled upon a speech Corey Perry gave in the SCF in between periods in the locker room. He's the type of guy they need. Someone who calls people out and has the authority to do so.
