The crazy part is last April he started out as the best leadoff hitter in baseball. If Noot can be more consistent as that guy we’d all want to keep him. Not sure why his batting eye got worse during the summer.

The team needs to maximize value everywhere. In Noots case his value is at a low ebb. Better to keep him and hope he comes back next year and plays well. Either good enough and stays healthy so you can think of him as a starter going forward or at least enough to create some trade value.
