They are looking for offensive improvement for all 3 OF spots. They are open to trading Cameron. He is kind of a left-handed Michael McGreevy, they just have more pitching than offense.craviduce wrote: ↑12 Nov 2025 20:45 pmthey have a 1B and/or RF...Cagscardinalsfan27 wrote: ↑12 Nov 2025 20:44 pmI’d love to have Cameron but I don’t think KC will trade him.Talkin' Baseball wrote: ↑12 Nov 2025 17:21 pm I know you asked about a Cardinals pitcher, but... a pitcher with approximately the same value as Burleson on a team that would actually trade him, and would actually love to have Burleson, is Noah Cameron from Kansas City.
I want RHP depth, and they don't need to be MLB ready. I guess I'm just looking at this through a much different scope....beyond the Labor Lull that's coming up...beyond 2027.
Hypothetically, is there any Cardinals' pitcher you'd trade Burleson for?

Did anybody actually answer the question posed in the OP?

Thanks TB. I really like the input you provide on CT.

bull[shirt]. I did, he just didn't like it

I wouldn't trade the future budding super star for any less than Paul Skenes or a Tarik Skubal type. He is just going to be too valuable to lose for less than that. I feel he is well on his way to being the next Roger Horsnby!
I think that is how you spelled his name using your sock puppet Celtic Jim earlier?

Respectfully
I did not answer because the question makes little sense.
Why ponder what Cardinal pitcher we would trade Burleson for???
The question should be about what return would make sense for Burleson from another team???

The upside if Hjerpes breaks out the entire team might go viralscoutyjones2 wrote: ↑12 Nov 2025 17:38 pm I'd trade him for Hjerpes if it meant no more Shady (bleep), and weird obsessions.

You’d better make sure you really want him, because once you have him, you’re stuck with him for life.juan good eye wrote: ↑13 Nov 2025 00:48 amThe upside if Hjerpes breaks out the entire team might go viralscoutyjones2 wrote: ↑12 Nov 2025 17:38 pm I'd trade him for Hjerpes if it meant no more Shady (bleep), and weird obsessions.

Not seeing the approximate same value here. 2.99 ERA, 140 IP, nearly 4 WAR, 4th in ROY with 5 years of control for Burleson now in arb years? Seems lopsided as hell in our favor. Am I missing something? Because I don’t see how KC GM would even consider it. I don’t think they’d take Donovan for him straight up either, much less Burleson. Maybe both, if they had glaring needs at both positions.Talkin' Baseball wrote: ↑12 Nov 2025 17:21 pm I know you asked about a Cardinals pitcher, but... a pitcher with approximately the same value as Burleson on a team that would actually trade him, and would actually love to have Burleson, is Noah Cameron from Kansas City.

Would you give up Mathews for Alec Burleson? When Liam Doyle makes it to AAA, would you trade him for Alec Burleson? Literally zero chance.Shady wrote: ↑12 Nov 2025 17:53 pm"Burleson does not return a really good AAA player. No chance". That's plain bullsshhiitt.woofy25 wrote: ↑12 Nov 2025 17:45 pm Burleson does not return a really good AAA player. No chance. Some of you are jaded regarding how good a baseball player is because the cardinals don’t have but a few. The cardinals’ best players are complementary players on contending teams. No one is giving up a top level AAA pitcher for a 6 hole hitter who doesn’t play good defense. He would be an elite 6 hole hitter. Unfortunately, he and Herrera are the best the cardinals can produce.

It's simple. It was to get some perspective on Burleson's possible trade value. Because most CT posters are likely familiar with Cardinals' pitchers. Sometimes you just have to put 2 + 2 = 4 together.

That’s ok.Shady wrote: ↑13 Nov 2025 10:07 amIt's simple. It was to get some perspective on Burleson's possible trade value. Because most CT posters are likely familiar with Cardinals' pitchers. Sometimes you just have to put 2 + 2 = 4 together.
I understand where you’re going.
I just didn’t answer because I’d rather spend my time researching who they COULD deal for from another team.
But I understand your analogy to Cards pitchers.

Thanks. You seem understand the relevance relating to pitchers on other teams. There was at least one viable pitcher from another team mentioned and discussed.Cusecards wrote: ↑13 Nov 2025 10:17 amThat’s ok.Shady wrote: ↑13 Nov 2025 10:07 amIt's simple.
