Did any one listen to JB's SOG interview last night?
Doesn't sound like it.
while a lot of the trolls and bots are soaking up what is going on right now, there isn't any part of that locker room that appears to have given up. even the other night hollywood made a comment saying he loves playing with kyrou. kind of unsolicated too. Sunny owned his play as well. He said that was his worst game in a long time. Then he goes out there and dishes the sweet nectar.
Underlying stats still say this team is playing winning hockey. Now the goalie play has turned around for a few games and we are points streaking.

They need Binnington and they need Schenn. Binnington isn't going to happen, at least not this year, but Schenn could be a posibility. Leafs don't have a 2026 1st rounder or a 2nd rounder, and they have traded a decent number of their prospects. Do they want to trade Cowan for Schenn? Guessing that would be the asking price, with maybe some picks changing hands to even things out. It's probably an overpay from the Leafs (depending on the picks), but they have put themselves in a bad position by having little trade capital to work with.
Tim, is Cowan still "all that", or has he lost some luster? Not sure why they sent him back down to the AHL.
Cowan is good..still developing. They won’t give him up for Schenn…that’s my guess anyway. I don’t know what they would deal…maybe Robertson plus a prospect like Holinka. Just doesn’t seem like the Blues and Leafs are good trade partners right now
If the Leafs want someone like Schenn its going to cost Cowan or Danford +
I would be happy to get "Ben Danford of Brantford" as I think of him - he's a quality RHD

At the rate the Leafs are trending I only want their first next year (if they have one).

The only reason Binnington should NOT be traded now is he won't bring back anything decent in return given his recent putrid play...you do not sell low! But absent that, he absolutely should be dealt the Blues aren't going to need his services in the playoffs this year or in the immediate future.
Teams want Thomas so bad. Kind of funny. The one player that won't get moved unless it's overwhelming, is Thomas.
Not saying he's untouchable, but there is no way the Blues trade a center like Thomas. 0.0000001% chance.
I understand all the reasons Thomas is a cornerstone for the Blues. So I'm down with no change to that situation, easily. But Thomas is not a 100% complete player, as in we clearly see him struggling right now and you can't therefore just count on this guy game after game. You don't want to react to adversity by hurting yourself worse and that's a risk considering moving him for sure.
But if they did this, they would pick their own pick top 5 this year, and they could absolutely demand two blue chip future pieces for Thomas right now. A young critical player plus a very high end pick. Then those two very high end picks + Snugs, Dvorsky, Holloway, Neighbours, Stenberg, Carbo is forward talent. We are talking like add a McKenna or Stenberg to that plus another major piece. I don't think that turns into Buffalo. It's not an impossible re-whatever is my overall point.
You have to separate Buchnevich and Kyrou from your other players. This kind of move is a judgment to scrap them and move forward. Just eat the Buch money you silly Tom Stillman, wait it out. He can't be on the team. Kyrou you take the first value offer that is value. That might take til he is on a heater but you absolutely try go get him 15 points in 10 games and then trade his (donkey) anywhere. I hate watching those two players. I'm done with them.
This couldn't be a Leafs trade btw they have no high end pieces we need. I would like Danford but he's not in a Thomas deal because what else are they giving? Cowan and Danford plus? We need our own extra pick in this package IMO.
