Re: Yes...Missouri can beat A&M
Why would anyone believe that Mizzou can’t win this Saturday. These types of games usually come down to the same things. Turnovers, penalties and your special teams. Two fairly equal teams and mistakes are probably going to be the difference.
Don’t turn the ball over. Sounds simple but it really is a big game changer. Stay away from the stupid penalties. The pre snap ones. Stay away from the lack of discipline penalties, the personal foul ones. Finally win the kicking game. Cover your kickoffs and punts and make your field goals. You do these things and we will be in good shape.

Dear God,Caregiver1 wrote: ↑03 Nov 2025 18:02 pm Drink has called Zollers the Best Arm he has ever seen or had as a QB. Now will find out if he is that guy. As we all know Drink really runs the offense. Even though Moore calls the plays. Marquis needs to be targeted early and often. And I dont mean 5 yard hooks. Come on Drink stretch the field get the safeties to play back. And have Zollers throw the ball in a moonshot Johnson can run under
God, please give our OC a brain on Saturday that works right for a change and have him RUN THE BALL down A&M's throats.
Yes, Zollers will have his chances in the air and he needs a great game but give him the best chance as well as the team and RUN THE DAM BALL.

Here's an idea.11WSChamps wrote: ↑03 Nov 2025 18:25 pm Folks here thinking miracles are going to suddenly appear in the passing game with a true freshman who's had a few dozen snaps against top competition.
Zollers is the best QB here since Lock. Has all the tools
except experience.
Expect the good and not so good especially Saturday against a conference leading pass rush and perhaps the rest of the season.
Like most everyone else I would like to see Zollers unharnassed but changing the whole foundation of the offense isn't going to happen in the bye week.
If by some miracle that suddenly occurs then we'll know something that some of us knew all along.
The best rushing SEC team can run the ball against a D not known to stop the run.

The Aggies are ranked just one spot behind Vanderbilt in run defense and ranked in the upper half of the conference.dhsux wrote: ↑04 Nov 2025 16:40 pmHere's an idea.11WSChamps wrote: ↑03 Nov 2025 18:25 pm Folks here thinking miracles are going to suddenly appear in the passing game with a true freshman who's had a few dozen snaps against top competition.

I agree we have to establish a run game and stick with it to give Zollers any chance in the passing game.
But you also need to show a balance and that never happened at Vanderbilt.
You're not going to hold A&M to 17 points as they did Vandy.
Re: Yes...Missouri can beat A&M
IMO its going to be a competitive game with MU coming out with quick passes and running in a equal mix. Aggies are vulnerable to a quick strike offense but again Kirby is calling the plays so hope is muted.
Good news is Batoon has proven to be a solid DC and has the speed at Lber and safety to spy effectively against their very quick QB.
Then there is the Battered Aggie Syndrome. they have started out like a house on fire multiple times and folded in the strech. Last year they were 7 and 1 undefeated in SEC play AND then ended up 8 and 4 out of playoffs.
IF MU does lay the smackdown upon them it could lead to another death spiral. Or not.
Zoller is a very good QB and Beau had regressed after strong start.
Go MU FB and lets see how it turns out.

Re: Yes...Missouri can beat A&M
I was talking with a co-worker today about Zollers starting this game. Anyone else remember Chase Daniel making his first appearance in relief of Brad Smith when he got injured? Daniel came in the game and engineered a comeback win. We never know. Maybe Zollers will have a break out game against A&M!

Not sure what we will hold them to. I'm talking offense.11WSChamps wrote: ↑04 Nov 2025 17:17 pmThe Aggies are ranked just one spot behind Vanderbilt in run defense and ranked in the upper half of the conference.dhsux wrote: ↑04 Nov 2025 16:40 pmHere's an idea.11WSChamps wrote: ↑03 Nov 2025 18:25 pm Folks here thinking miracles are going to suddenly appear in the passing game with a true freshman who's had a few dozen snaps against top competition.

I do know the biggest strength we have on them is to run on their D and not to throw into the A&M secondary more times than necessary.
3rd and 7-8-9 forcing the pass ain't gonna work. If we get to third 7-8-9 because we passed too much is what I'm sick of seeing.
Re: Yes...Missouri can beat A&M
A&M will stack the box - forcing Zollers to pass. Linebackers and safeties near to the LOS. The OL will have to have a stellar day to overcome this strategy. Third and long will not be a good place to be on Saturday.

Re: Yes...Missouri can beat A&M
Great. Can we expect to see those short passes up the middle, then? Like those our OC called against Alabama? That was about as dumb as the 3 man D front Steckel had against Navy in the bowl game in Houston. You can’t run thru the box so you want to pass into it?
Re: Yes...Missouri can beat A&M
I think Drinkwitz has been meddling with the play calling. Super conservative. It looks as if he plays not to lose in the big games instead of playing to win. He will never get this team over the hump coaching that way.
If we see a lot of bubble screens Saturday and other dink and dunk passing, we will know who's in charge of this offense.
Hopefully, the running game can get reinvigorated in this game. The offensive line has to be better in that regard. Hardy and Roberts can't continue to be counted on to make most of their yards after contact.

Seriously folks let's all find out now what this team has to truly offer this season.
This is, for the time being, the season. Why wait play the best and find out now.
I like the underdog status and I feel better about this game at kick off than I did last year in College Station.
And all jokes aside....Zoller is in for the game of his life.......maybe literally! AM D line will be licking their chops!
