Fine. Schenn is NOT a 1C now or in future playoffs. He is hurting this team playing 1C now but the Blues really have no alternative until Thomas comes back or they get comfortable playing Dvorsky 1C minutes and matchups.Mr.Snuggleupagus wrote: ↑02 Nov 2025 13:40 pmAnd he doesn't pick his spots, he'll go after the star center (Scheifele) or go hit one of their toughest (Lowry).Old_Goat wrote: ↑02 Nov 2025 13:35 pmAnd this too.Mr.Snuggleupagus wrote: ↑02 Nov 2025 13:29 pm Schenn was one of the main reasons (if not the #1 reason) the Blues almost upset Winnipeg in the 1st round.
You want that kind of playoff hockey (hard hitting & in your face) again....you better keep Schenn.
Playoffs or not, he is a real pro and important to help the youngsters experience it.
Everyone is fair game in the playoffs. The youngsters can learn from that.

Despite how he looks at the moment, Schenn's value to this team is greater than his trade value. As others have said, when Thomas and Neighbours are healthy, he should be moved down the lineup to make room for the younger players. He can still provide grit, toughness, and leadership from the 3rd line.

Who said he won't play LW? Dont recall seeing that anywhere
Re: It's time to move on from Schenn
Trade him? Waive him? He won't play wing?
Not getting any of this talk.
I'm hoping DD can stick and when RT is back Schenn gets to play where he will be best...at wing.

I disagree wholeheartedly with your opening premise. Schenn is a highly sought after player. Re: It's time to move on from Schenn
I would have to think that Schenn is moved down the line up if the team gets healthy however you want to shake it out Schenn should be the 3rd LW
Holloway Thomas Snuggerud
Neighbours Dvorsky Kyrou
Schenn Suter Buch
Joseph Sunny Bjugstad
Walker/Torop
Again, if they are ever healthy, they can start to weed out some of the jags. Not saying Walker is a "JAG" but skating and hitting is about all he can do idk its going to be interesting next few weeks. I dont think Army will do anything until the team is healthy but i would assume the next move is to waive Texier, then we will see.
If Dvorsky is sent back or moved down the line up for Schenn it will be very disappointing and Suter has been probably overall the best Blues forward so far this season no way Schenn should be center over Suter.

I follow your thinking here but . . . Thomas is out until whenever and Neighbours won't be back until presumably December. By then who knows what state this roster is in, pray no one else goes down.Harry S Deals wrote: ↑03 Nov 2025 08:39 am I would have to think that Schenn is moved down the line up if the team gets healthy however you want to shake it out Schenn should be the 3rd LW

So, for the foreseeable future Schenn will likely remain a center, and likely the 1C. Starting to see how important Thomas is to this team?
Once Thomas reclaims 1C minutes then yeah, it might be time to park Schenn on wing. I'd bet he's still top-6 at least until Neighbours plays his way back up.

Thomas may not play tonight but hes close, my point is Schenn has no business being a center over Thomas, Dvorsky OR Suter if so then this becomes on Monty. Yep the goalies have been pretty bad but -13......Schenn cannot remain at centerDawgDad wrote: ↑03 Nov 2025 08:50 amI follow your thinking here but . . . Short of some kind of Walker collapse, they will not be weeding out Walker.Harry S Deals wrote: ↑03 Nov 2025 08:39 am I would have to think that Schenn is moved down the line up if the team gets healthy however you want to shake it out Schenn should be the 3rd LW

Skating and hitting is right...to the tune of being a pain for opposing teams.....to say nothing of what he brings in addition for his own team.

Re: It's time to move on from Schenn
I'll admit I haven't gotten to watch as much this year as I normally do. But Walker looks like he is being exposed out there. He's a really good 50-60 games a year guy. I don't see how he should be an every day guy. He runs out of energy. He's taken a couple bad timed penalties too, I know the cross check to the face was an accident, and Saturday's was somewhat soft especially with what just happened on the other end. But they are bad timing penalties.dhsux wrote: ↑03 Nov 2025 09:34 amShort of some kind of Walker collapse, they will not be weeding out Walker.Harry S Deals wrote: ↑03 Nov 2025 08:39 am I would have to think that Schenn is moved down the line up if the team gets healthy however you want to shake it out Schenn should be the 3rd LW

Sunny is playing really really well, And I view him the same way. These 2 are their best when they can be a spark, every day guys and they tire out. Would love to see those 2 taking turns on the 4th line Center and then filling in wing and giving others a break.
Re: It's time to move on from Schenn
Makes some sense to rest Walker or Sunny time to time, but I'll leave that to Monty who should be aware of a tired player the lessor option over who plays to rests them.callitwhatyouwant wrote: ↑03 Nov 2025 10:14 amI'll admit I haven't gotten to watch as much this year as I normally do. People come up with premises to support an argument that really can't be made.
Who's to say he can't stand playing center and is doing so simply as a team player and leader?
