World Series trivia

Post by jcgmoi »

Shohei Otani set the record last night and this morning for the most intentional walks in a World Series game with 4.

Four players held the record with 3 IBB--Rudy York, David Ortiz, Barry Bonds, and a St Louis Cardinal player.

Name the Cardinal player. For extra credit, give the year and, what the hell, the pitchers who issued the walks.

There have been two 18 inning games in the history of the world series. Brad Paisley has performed the National Anthem for both.

Best firing in football. Hugely over rated. Now Lane is a different story.

Feel sorry for Brad ! While sure he was paid handsomely for performing , the MLB does not wish any more 18 inning games !
If fans see him come out for the anthem , some will sigh and say Oh boy ! Going to be another wee hours at the ballpark tonight !

Not really. We are 5-3 headed for a toilet bowl. I think with so much chatter about Kiffen to Florida, I think LSU wants a part of that action.

Do you know the history of red stick.

Close. Settlers found a bloody red pole planted on the banks of the Mississippi significantly as a boundary marker. They named it le Baton Rouge.

Which to you is the better job.

Albert Pujols
2011 World Series, game 5

The pitchers were C.J. Wilson (2x) & Alexi Ogando

What do I win?

Very close…..I’m guessing Fla only because he has some connections there from his FAU days…

Quincy Varnish is correct. Well done. Alexi Ogando is completely gone from my memory.

You win the thanks of a grateful message board.

His dad Monte was DC for Tampa Bay Bucs for 12 years. His father-in-law was John Reaves an All American QB at the University of Florida. His ex wife is a Gator alum.
