And some people want to trade Willson and Nado so that Burly and Donny can’t be 2 of the OF bats.cardstatman wrote: ↑26 Oct 2025 22:37 pm Nootbar hit .224 .300 .337 .637 over his last 447 PA

These are our outfielders.
Yay.

The short-term answer is rather obvious.renostl wrote: ↑26 Oct 2025 21:56 pmThe situation that is created is the total opposite of that prior to the 2025 season. That issue was not that Nootbaar and Walker were on the roster. It was the over reliance of the team in them. They did that more than one season, more than one position.
Next season they really can't at corner outfielder.
Dononvan should move to LF and every effort should be made to repurpose Herrera (as I was first to understand and advise 4 years ago) as an outfielder.

Chaim Bloom revealed to Matt Pauley of KMOX Sports in a radio interview that Opening Day is neither entirely off the table nor entirely guaranteed for Nootbaar following his surgery. Bloom adds that they don’t intend to rush the rehab process in order to get him back on time for the start of the season, but that if he were to miss time to open the season the absence would be limited.
This is actually great news meaning Noot's recovery is much closer to the 6 month estimate!
Unlike many in here C-unit, I'm not so sure Noot isn't here all of 2026.

That would work best if the Cardinals get to use 4 OFers.Melville wrote: ↑27 Oct 2025 08:30 amThe short-term answer is rather obvious.renostl wrote: ↑26 Oct 2025 21:56 pmThe situation that is created is the total opposite of that prior to the 2025 season. They'd need to play deep, which has consequences compounded with
pitch to contact and the decreased range of the guy you have at 3B.
