Gotta sit Mailloux next game. He wasn't ready, clearly.

They’re going to force him in as much as possible. They made a big gamble on him and he’s going to get his chance

And he never will be if you bench him.
It's going to be ugly at times, but we're going to have to let him work through the growing pains. He's not an instinctive defender and he needs rep's to learn that half of the game.

Not saying he is in the same league, but Pronger was likewise criticized....

That Tucker/Mailloux pairing is total dog [shirt]. Yikes.

It’s a shame we traded away a scoring forward with physicality. We’re desperately void of that in the top nine.

Buchnevich…we’re going to be stuck with that mistake for a long time.

Still waiting for Neighbors to be an impact player.

Center is still a major problem.

There’s a lot more gaping holes in this team than I think many of us convinced ourselves otherwise in the offseason.

He was brutal. Plays no defense. Falling to the ice on that first goal shows how far he is away from being an NHL caliber defensemen.

Pronger even mentioned it. If Keenan (and I hate saying his name) didn't keep playing him, he's not sure he would've learned.

One stupid home opener doesn't make a player nor a season. Long way to go before giving projections on what the team or players need.

He needs to learn in Springfield and not at the NHL level. He was poor defensively for the Laval in the AHL as he was -3 for his last 2 years in the minors.

Agreed

The Thomas Post
The ek goal took a glorious bounce for them
Loser hartman first goal, even he knows he sucks and go lucky
The no call on parayko that turns into a goal for said loser above.

What am I missing? The 1000 shots into the loser goalies chest making him look like brodeur
Yup...the Blues definitely deserved this one - darned these refs!
Moron the ref was referred to once in my 5 diff examples of bad bounces or odd plays

Go see if ur team can get out of the dumpster this year (doubtful), leave the rest of us alone

I have been super critical of the Mailloux/Bolduc trade. For the record I think its going to go down as one of DA worst. That being said, yes Mailloux played terribly, but so did the rest of the team. Lets keep this in mind, its one game. Be patient and give this kid a chance. Just keep playing him and let him learn with NHL ice time.

If he's going to play against NHL'ers, he needs to learn against NHL'ers. We're going to have to go through this sooner or later. Better to just get it out of the way now.

That said, he does need a better partner than Tucker. Tucker isn't even remotely capable of covering for Mailloux's defensive lapses.

Well….that was….something.

At least they’re getting one of the rare mid season blow out games out of the way early right??? 😅
