Zach Bolduc is -1 and his team is 0-1. The Blues are 0 and 0-0. Seems likes the Blues are winning on this one.

I am glad you pointed this out, might be the reason he is not with the Blues anymore. Have to watch this number as the season progresses.

Haha, when I saw Bolduc score, my first thought was, “Here comes the parade of fans scrambling to downplay the trade.” Not sure how many actually watched the game, but Bolduc looked legit. He had a ton of chances, found the right spots, and camped out in front of the net like he belonged there. The instincts are real, and he’s only going to sharpen them.

Honestly, if the Blues were going to move a young forward, Jake Neighbours might’ve been the better piece to send. He’s got the grit, sure—but Bolduc has the touch and still goes to the hard areas.

The question is not..
Is Mailloux good value for Bolduc?

The question should be..
Why did we have to give up Bolduc for Mailloux? We SHOULD HAVE BOTH Bolduc and an elite RHD !!!!! It's been 6+ years since Petro left. I thought Jiricek was the next Petro. What happened to him?
Well there’s your problem right there. Jiricek has never been billed as the next Petro.

Also, he just turned 19. You know who else didn’t stick in the NHL at 19? Petro! It’s not remotely uncommon for young players to not be NHL ready yet from either a developmental or physical standpoint.
Funny enough, Kerbs actually did compare Jiricek to Pietrangelo during the preseason—and he might be onto something. Jiricek’s skating has that same smooth, efficient stride Petro was known for. It’s early, but the flashes are there.

Between Jiricek and Broberg, the Blues have two really intriguing pieces on the back end. If their development tracks hold, those two could be the top horses anchoring the blue line in a few years.

Mission accomplished.
Good job.

Your work here is done. We wish you all the best in the next message board you “help.”
This got me thinking… what team board would we trade him to for a poster to be named later? I say we give him to buffalo. Get all the good draft picks he wants

Stylistically, Jiricek is pretty similar to Petro. But I seriously doubt he reaches the peak Petro did.

Funny enough, when Pietrangelo first broke into the league, Mike Babcock famously said he looked like he’d been “touched by the wand of God.”

Jiricek? He might’ve only been tapped with the vintage Sher-Wood from the alumni closet—we’ll have to wait and see if it still has some magic left in it.

Give it a few seasons, and that Sher-Wood might start glowing.

Trade him for an old analog clock - at least the clock would be right twice a day.

No way, Kyrou (or Buchnevich) and shed that salary.
