Good job.a smell of green grass wrote: ↑09 Oct 2025 08:07 am I'm really glad to see that people are paying attention to Bolduc, and how the trade is looking.
Mission accomplished.
They extended my contract. I'm signed up for another 8 at 100 mil. Heck, I'll still be around when Jiricek makes the NHL team.STL fan in MN wrote: ↑09 Oct 2025 08:17 amGood job.a smell of green grass wrote: ↑09 Oct 2025 08:07 am I'm really glad to see that people are paying attention to Bolduc, and how the trade is looking.

Your work here is done. We wish you all the best in the next message board you “help.”
Very well said!LGB73 wrote: ↑09 Oct 2025 08:25 am I'm excited to see what he does because I liked him as a player. He scored something like 14 goals in his last 30 regular season games so interesting to see if he can build off that.
That said I'm far more interested to see what Mailloux does. I don't expect him to be "better" than Bolduc this year, but hope he shows signs of being able to being a stalwart RD that can defend and put up numbers. Team will be in much better shape if that's the case for years to come.
Well there’s your problem right there. Jiricek has never been billed as the next Petro.a smell of green grass wrote: ↑09 Oct 2025 08:33 am Just one last bit of HELP is needed here...
The question is not..
Is Mailloux good value for Bolduc?
The question should be..
Why did we have to give up Bolduc for Mailloux? We SHOULD HAVE BOTH Bolduc and an elite RHD !!!!! It's been 6+ years since Petro left. I thought Jiricek was the next Petro. What happened to him?
I admire your patience, MN. I really do. You're TOP5 on that.STL fan in MN wrote: ↑09 Oct 2025 08:38 amWell there’s your problem right there. Jiricek has never been billed as the next Petro.a smell of green grass wrote: ↑09 Oct 2025 08:33 am Just one last bit of HELP is needed here...

Also, he just turned 19. You know who else didn’t stick in the NHL at 19? Petro! It’s not remotely uncommon for young players to not be NHL ready yet from either a developmental or physical standpoint.
I am familiar with that saying and can tell you via decades of data, there’s very little to that. While it can be somewhat correlated, teams will absolutely NOT pick the kid they think will make the NHL the fastest. They’ll pick the kid they think will be the best longterm. Sometimes those 2 things line up but oftentimes they don’t. 75% of kids are first draft eligible their age 17 season! The other 25% are in their 18 yr old season. It simply takes time for most 17-18 yr olds to become NHL ready.a smell of green grass wrote: ↑09 Oct 2025 08:43 amI admire your patience, MN. I really do. How do you stomach watching Buium (same draft year as Jiricek) starting in the NHL?
Are you familiar with the old NHL saying... "The longer it takes for a prospect to make the NHL, the less of an impact that they will bring."
I want the prospect that SHOWS UP ON THE NHL ROSTER surprisingly fast, not the one beefing up in the OHL for 2 years to MAYBE make the NHL one day.
