Faulk is fine, he's earning his pay. Krug is a sad story, yes, too much money for what the Blues got in return.
Plus that was 12 years for 90.
It didn’t work out but a 50 point dman for 6.5 isn’t a bad risk to take (at the time)

That 6.5 was during Covid times man. Has nothing to do with contracts today
No it wasn’t, Blues extended Faulk in Sept. of ‘19.

The point is that the money was tight. Cap was lower. Uncertainty was high. Covid started months after, although who knows when it actually started

Uncertainty was high 6 months before COVID?

Again, no it wasn’t. The Blues signed Faulk when most would assume the cap would rise as it always had before and now is again.

This information is all available via a simple google search. There are plenty of things to criticize (like Krug) without making things up.

Fowler is nearing the end of the road...Walman is not.
Fowler is a really good defenseman. Walman is questionable at best.

Actually, Faulk’s averages out to be a 40 point D man if you do the math based on games played.

I meant Krug, but yeah, even 40 is nothing to sneeze at

There was no major talk about cap explosion any time soon at that time. I dont need google. Contracts reflected that. Many felt Faulk was overpaid and that the term was ridiculous

I didn’t say cap explosion. You did say Faulk was re-signed during COVID. Which is untrue. Simple stuff.

Agree. The Faulk contract was good for the Blues.

My issue with the Walkman contract isn’t the year, but simply the amount as he is not even in the top half of the NHL defensemen in the league. If you take out last year he is a 20 point defenseman.

Covid…..covid….lol

You are debating with an idiot. The reason that guy is so unsuccessful in life is because of his inability to admit mistakes (well that and his acute case of schizophrenia). The world knows that the first outbreak of covid was Dec 2019 in Wuhan China.

Is anyone shocked?
The list of lies Princess has told on this forum is long....
The Faulk contract did not raise eyebrows around the league....Some (not the majority) may have disagreed with the term, but the dollars were fine. Some people try to rewrite history while waiting for Adin Hill to start for team Canada as promised....

I don't know about "explosion" but it was pretty good financial times in America. The cap absolutely looked to be going UP, UP, UP

It wasn't a bad contract at all IMO......until you break down the details of the Blues situation and even then it wasn't something I loved but still not terrible. The Krug signing was terrible and even worse within the context of the situation.

Either way there is no way we should have paid either of them 6.5 million and not been willing to give Petro 8.5ish.
