Good Bye MO!
Mo, You can't be gone too soon. We have not been to a game for years. Good bye! You are our generations Dal Maxvill. You took out every threat to you in the organization and made it mediocre. You are not a Cardinal, never have been. Glad you are gone.
You have ruined our family's bonding. It's been 6 years since we won a playoff series and jumped in the pool (freezing) as a part of a clinch and had a chance to even be in the playoffs with all of our rituals.
So bad, glad your arrogance is gone. Hopefully, we have more great things on the horizon with the change.
Btw, tell your season ticket team to not call me until you clean out 1/2 of this roster and sign some real names to the team. Chaim has a limited window to restore what has been destroyed. I have gotten 3/4 calls this September from them.
I hope you are really happy with your legacy, because you have NONE.

Agree that Chaim has a limited window to complete an effective turnaround.cardsrmyteam wrote: ↑28 Sep 2025 18:27 pm Mo, You can't be gone too soon. We have not been to a game for years. Good bye! This organizations value is going to plummet if ticket sales keep dropping and stay low.

TELL US WHAT THE PLAN IS. I'm good with hanging on if there's a plan, even if it means we take our lumps for a couple years. I don't expect them to tell us what players they're going to target--nobody does that. But give me a plan.
Also important...under promise and over-deliver.

I couldn’t say it any better myself. Mozo the Clown has been a cancer on this organization. Even worse than Dal Maxvill.cardsrmyteam wrote: ↑28 Sep 2025 18:27 pm Mo, You can't be gone too soon. That would be nice. Share a plausible vision of what is possible and how they can get there. And yes it has to be plausible. Expecting to build a farm system so elite that we generate 35-40 annual WAR entirely from homegrown players isn't likely.Strummer Jones wrote: ↑28 Sep 2025 18:38 pmThe key for Bloom right now is to be as transparent as possible.Carp4Cy wrote: ↑28 Sep 2025 18:31 pmAgree that Chaim has a limited window to complete an effective turnaround.cardsrmyteam wrote: ↑28 Sep 2025 18:27 pm Mo, You can't be gone too soon. Baseball has to figure out how to make the games affordable and how to market it better. Younger people dont care for baseball. They find it slow and boring. You factor this along with it being expensive to attend games and the lack of marketing and you are looking at major problems in the future.

As for Johnny bow ties, adios putz! Pack your stuff and ride your Pee Wee Herman bicycle right down Clark Avenue.
Re: Good Bye MO!
fans in NY and LA are still OK with the slow and boring. And accept the expensive.JuanAgosto wrote: ↑28 Sep 2025 21:09 pm Baseball has to figure out how to make the games affordable and how to market it better. Younger people dont care for baseball. Bigger markets will be ok. Mid and small markets will struggle.Carp4Cy wrote: ↑28 Sep 2025 21:14 pmfans in NY and LA are still OK with the slow and boring. Games in Denver are still really cheap. And they have decent crowds. They still struggle massively.JuanAgosto wrote: ↑28 Sep 2025 21:17 pmBigger markets will be ok. The Rockies have really integrated themselves into Denver as a thing for locals to do, since it's right downtown.Carp4Cy wrote: ↑28 Sep 2025 21:22 pmGames in Denver are still really cheap. I guess we just aren't as scared of the homeless sleeping on 22nd street as STL fans are.C-Unit wrote: ↑28 Sep 2025 22:27 pmThe Rockies have really integrated themselves into Denver as a thing for locals to do, since it's right downtown.Carp4Cy wrote: ↑28 Sep 2025 21:22 pmGames in Denver are still really cheap. Re: Good Bye MO!
But while Busch Stadium is in downtown St Louis, that is not the effective "city center" of the St Louis metro area in any capacity. How different would things be if that ballpark was build in Creve Couer, for example. I wondered if it ever crossed Bill DeWitt Jr.'s mind that the surrounding area he chose to build his ballpark in had the potential to go way, way downhill. There is a video out there of the 2000 Cardinals celebrating in the street with fans after clinching the division. Can you imagine that happening in 2025? Probably in no city but still, that should tell you how far that area has fallen in just 25 years.Carp4Cy wrote: ↑28 Sep 2025 23:08 pmI guess we just aren't as scared of the homeless sleeping on 22nd street as STL fans are.C-Unit wrote: ↑28 Sep 2025 22:27 pmThe Rockies have really integrated themselves into Denver as a thing for locals to do, since it's right downtown.Carp4Cy wrote: ↑28 Sep 2025 21:22 pmGames in Denver are still really cheap. Re: Good Bye MO!
Listen to the way they talked in the press conference. I think they believe the Cardinals are integrated into the Midwest, like the Rockies are just in Denver. Especially when DeWitt III is the one talking, you can tell their entire game plan is marketing to those who travel into St Louis from the surrounding region for a weekend series. I want to believe Chaim has the skills to create the product worth marketing. I'm sure he has some tight reigns from Big Bill, but any job is going to have its rules and restrictions and the worker with the right attitude is going to accept those parameters and put his best work on display. Let's wish the Bloom era well.Carp4Cy wrote: ↑28 Sep 2025 23:08 pmI guess we just aren't as scared of the homeless sleeping on 22nd street as STL fans are.C-Unit wrote: ↑28 Sep 2025 22:27 pmThe Rockies have really integrated themselves into Denver as a thing for locals to do, since it's right downtown.Carp4Cy wrote: ↑28 Sep 2025 21:22 pmGames in Denver are still really cheap.
