Few, if any, BluesTalkers will reply with their own prediction because doing so requires posting something negative, and only ASOGG (and a few others) do that.
No, it’d be because nobody here would want to provide validity to one of your threads by pretending you’re actually being genuine. Because you’re very clearly not. It’d be a waste of our time.
As for fans getting frustrated from a lack of prospects being called up, I seriously doubt it. Two prospects are set to join the team in Snuggerud and Mailloux. Both could definitely get some Calder votes.
Would it be nice to see Dvorsky, Stenberg, Kaskimaki etc at some point as well? Sure, but only if they’re truly ready and truly needed. Teams tend to break in only 1-2 rookies at a time and for this season, those 2 are primed to be Snuggerud and Mailloux. That said, pretty much no team ends the season with the same lineup they started the season with so we’ll just have to see who all earns a call up throughout the season, how many injuries occur to open up opportunities, etc. It’s a long season. I could definitely see any or all of the 3 forwards I mentioned get a least a cup of coffee with the Blues this season.
Maybe you are right. The other side of the coin...
2023 - No one expected to see prospects because they were just drafted.
2024 - Fans were asking about prospects in early February 2025 when Armstong blew up, but then the win streak happened.
2025 - If the winning continues, the fans will not ask about prospects... If the winning does not continue, the sight of Lucic, Sunny, and Bjugstadt etc, will look really out of place, and the fans will be asking about the prospects.
Positive: Blues pull a deadline deal, picking up McDavid for Suter, Ellis, and a first.
Blues win Cup.
Negative:
Blues don't qualify for the draft lottery.
Oilers whine about not getting enough for McDavid, Army sends them a 5th for future considerations.

Except your 2023 point makes absolutely no sense. It’d only apply to the 2023 draftees as being “just drafted.” But around that time we had a ton of prospects being integrated into the lineup - Neighbours, Bolduc, Hofer, Tucker, Kessel etc. The Blues have been integrating youth into the lineup pretty much every season for a while now.
As for if fans will complain if things don’t go well, of course they will. That’s what fans do when a team doesn’t perform well, especially if they’re expected to perform better. As for if the complaints will be specifically being about wanting to see prospects instead of vets, I guess we’ll see. I for one wouldn’t be at all surprised to see some of the prospects get time with the Blues later in the season. Either due to them developing more, others getting injured or others underperforming…or all of the above.
I’m sure you’ll be ready at your keyboard though, ready to complain after the first loss of the season that X prospect should’ve been playing instead of Y vet..

If the team does not play well, and Lucic, Sunny, and Bjugstadt are in the lineup, I think we all know that the fans will call for the prospects to give it try. Why lose with old players after all? At least put the prospects out there to learn, etc.
With regards to me and when I speak up, you can count on impeccable timing as always. I won't be too early with the complaint, but when the mob surfaces, I will likely be at or close to the front.
I agree with Bubble. I think Holloway and Broberg are the big storylines of the year. Both will be playing for the biggest contracts of their careers and looking to sign long-term. I also think they both want to stick it to the Oil for not matching.
2nd round of the PO's....LGB!
Bad storyline of the year could be this D still needs more grit.
Springfield Thunderbirds are going to be extremely good this year. 6 of the 9 record breaking WJC prospects are going to be with them this year. Kos, Jecho and Ralph all have a chance to get some games in at the end of the year too.
My biggest prediction is the Blues end the season with 4 rookies on the roster.
Snuggerud
Dvorski
Stenberg
Mailloux
That will be my prediction next year as well.
Carbonneau
Jiricek
Stancl
Lindstien
It’s exciting and worrying to think of the amount of talent that needs to be infused while playing at a level that keeps them in the play off picture. After those listed there is still a lengthy list of players that are showing enough to be in the future plans.
Pekarcek
Fischer
Kaskimaki
Jecho
Peterson
Korotky
I expect a few more Bolduc/Mailloux deals to come over the next year. Fun times to be a Blues fan. Mashing up future line ups has become a fun hobby.

When you say "rookies on the roster at season end", are you saying that they have solidified a place on the roster via their play, or that they were called up late for cameo appearances?

Agree wholly with the sentiment of your post, there is about to be some exciting influx.
The controversy in this piece of it is about Stenberg specifically because I sense a consensus that Dvorsky will reach the roster by end of year.
I think the Stenbergs in general are going to be a force in the NHL, a family about to burst onto the scene. Ivar is impressive as hell, in plenty of years could be #1 overall in the draft. I want to keep Otto, but I can see the upcoming trade deadline being a time where he is the prospect we are putting into Stenberg + 1st gets us X player we need to go on a run this year. The reason is you're right Dvorsky will probably be on the roster and they may feel like Stenberg is ripe but has no spot to take.

I’m saying both.
Snuggerud and Mailloux start here with Dvorski and Stenberg finding their way through the season.
It has to happen at some point there’s just too much in the pipe line.
