How is not calling up the prospects be a negative thing? To me that means the team is staying healthy and they are playing well. If someone like Sunny or I another 4th line type player gets injured Your likely not seeing Devo in that spot.a smell of green grass wrote: ↑24 Sep 2025 21:00 pm What is your prediction for the biggest storylines of the 2025 season? My prediction is that the fans want to see the Blues prospects more, and this will be the year that they tire of waiting.Zizzle1297 wrote: ↑25 Sep 2025 00:35 amHow is not calling up the prospects be a negative thing? Re: 2025 Prediction - Biggest storylines of season
I’d opine that fans that have seen the recent promotion to full time status by Neighbours, Holloway, Broberg, Tucker, and Hofer, along with the anticipated promotions of Snuggerud and Mailoux, would recognize that is a whole lot of youth added within the last two years. It would make up just short of 1/3 of the roster. I’m not sure why fans would “tire of waiting” unless they just don’t understand the NHL.a smell of green grass wrote: ↑25 Sep 2025 07:36 amMy prediction is that the fans want to see the Blues prospects more, and this will be the year that they tire of waiting.Zizzle1297 wrote: ↑25 Sep 2025 00:35 amHow is not calling up the prospects be a negative thing? Re: 2025 Prediction - Biggest storylines of season
Come on now. Virtually all fans who pay to attend or watch games first and foremost want to see the team WIN. Most fans that understand hockey understand the different roles on a team, too. Sure, fans want to see prospects, but not at the expense of the team winning unless it wasn't competitive to begin with.a smell of green grass wrote: ↑25 Sep 2025 07:36 amMy prediction is that the fans want to see the Blues prospects more, and this will be the year that they tire of waiting.Zizzle1297 wrote: ↑25 Sep 2025 00:35 amHow is not calling up the prospects be a negative thing? Do you remember the LUCIC storyline? It's still going on... The fans were perplexed how it could possibly make sense to bring in an old beaten up dinosaur. What's up with our bench?2forDiving wrote: ↑25 Sep 2025 07:50 amI’d opine that fans that have seen the recent promotion to full time status by Neighbours, Holloway, Broberg, Tucker, and Hofer, along with the anticipated promotions of Snuggerud and Mailoux, would recognize that is a whole lot of youth added within the last two years. I never said that ALL FANS would be questioning it. Only most. Some will continue to throw sandbags no matter how high the water is over them.

So ASOGG, your prediction is that fans will tire of watching winning hockey?2forDiving wrote: ↑25 Sep 2025 07:50 amI’d opine that fans that have seen the recent promotion to full time status by Neighbours, Holloway, Broberg, Tucker, and Hofer, along with the anticipated promotions of Snuggerud and Mailoux, would recognize that is a whole lot of youth added within the last two years. It’s a bold strategy, Cotton. Let’s see if it pays off for ‘em.

My predictions are known to come true because they roll down the reality track. MY NEXT PREDICTION:
Few, if any, BluesTalkers will reply with their own prediction because doing so requires posting something negative, and only ASOGG (and a few others) do that.

BEST PREDICTION:
Blues sign Holloway and Broberg to extensions and advance to the 2nd round of the playoffs

The only story line of 25-26 - the OP refuses to find a hobby that he actually enjoys besides Wapner at 5 pm

Clearly How much a genius Army is. Will be big among the faithful.
On the other side. Bolduc and the rise of the Canadians.

Positive:
Holloway and Kyrou continue to shine together. They combine for 65+ goals and both finish in the plus category.
Negative:
Mailloux's growth will take time and people will note on here every time Bolduc registers a point.

I agree on the potential Bolduc negative. That trade will be a flashpoint for years to come.
If Bolduc lands on the 2nd line with Demidov, and Mailloux lands in the AHL, look out. That will be the storyline heard round the NHL.

No, it’d be because nobody here would want to provide validity to one of your threads by pretending you’re actually being genuine. Because you’re very clearly not. It’d be a waste of our time.a smell of green grass wrote: ↑25 Sep 2025 09:13 amMY NEXT PREDICTION:

As for fans getting frustrated from a lack of prospects being called up, I seriously doubt it. Two prospects are set to join the team in Snuggerud and Mailloux. Both could definitely get some Calder votes.
Would it be nice to see Dvorsky, Stenberg, Kaskimaki etc at some point as well? Sure, but only if they’re truly ready and truly needed. Teams tend to break in only 1-2 rookies at a time and for this season, those 2 are primed to be Snuggerud and Mailloux. That said, pretty much no team ends the season with the same lineup they started the season with so we’ll just have to see who all earns a call up throughout the season, how many injuries occur to open up opportunities, etc. It’s a long season. I could definitely see any or all of the 3 forwards I mentioned get a least a cup of coffee with the Blues this season.
