He won 8 consecutive Gold Glove awards.
Bobby was a three time all-star, and in 1952 struck out Whitey Lockman, Jackie Robinson and Stan Musial in order.

When we were kids, my dad had a Bobby Shantz signature baseball glove. We had no idea who Bobby was.
