If we were mediocre, the odds wouldn’t be good. But we have one of the best offenses in all of college football. And when we drive and move the ball the way we do, but sometimes settle for field goals, or miss extra points, you can see in a playoff game that could cost us a win.

Maybe you think we’re not very good and it’s shocking we could score 29 against SC. I think we’re a lot better than SC and could have scored another 9 points. I also think our D does a fabulous job of not giving up anything, until we break down and give up big plays.

In answer to the question how many points did SC score in the 4th, they, in fact, scored none. MAYBE it had something to do with the fact that the DB’s FINALLY started turning their heads and finding the ball. Still, on 3rd and long, with 5:30 remaining, Sellers missed a wide open receiver running down the middle of the field.

With UMass and the bye week on the horizon, I’m telling Hardy and Roberts and the lines to leave their helmets in the locker room and play 7 on 7 the whole week. Every play over 25 yards results in a set of steps…coaches included.

Officiating has not been good. That’s been a factor. I’m not claiming an anti-Mizzou bias, but there have been several questionable calls or non-calls go against MU. How they could they miss the MU receiver having his jersey held for 10 yards down the field or the face mask on the holding penalty on Norfleet. Some of those calls have been opportunity and momentum changes.

This is not on the officials, but MU has taken several ill-advised unsportsmanlike conduct penalties that have been momentum changers. I know the one last night upset a lot of people, but it was an easy call for the officials.

This is true. And yesterday’s INT was when we were knocking on the door for another score.

Our resident troll doesn’t get the point. We’re winning and absolutely dominating games, but against good competition like KU and SC we’ve had to scratch out wins and we really should be blowing them out.

If we play like this in the playoffs against elite teams, it’ll be really hard to win.
