It's demoralizing to have a sustained drive on offense score and then see your defense (bleep) it away on a couple of deep passes.

Time to make things simple back there.

Exactly what cover scheme are they running?

Pretty clear the deep coverage is their big problem but how many deep guys are they employing? Cover 2?

I don't believe they were in cover 1 when the TD was scored it appeared to be a blown zone coverage?

biggest disappointment from preseason expectations is Catelon? who was supposed to be this all sec stud who would cover up for mistakes back there and I havn't noticed him doing much at all. He was the safety corner was expecting help from and he didn't move over on that long TD. they have a lot of options and think over next couple weeks your going to see changes back there and hopefully much better results.

Or that's all you could hope for. Eli is self critical and addresses problems directly. Instead of a azzwipes like Brian Kelly who yells at and intimidates reporters who as very obvious questions.

That and the offense continuing to leave points on the field, primarily against KU and last night against SC is making games more competitive than they should be.

My prediction:
I think we win but it won’t be easy. They’re still an SEC D so I don’t see us putting up 50 or even 40. I think we follow our pattern of putting up a lot of yards, but maybe don’t score as much as we should. Ultimately, our D is good enough to keep them from winning.

Vs SC we gave up negative yards rushing making them one dimensional. We do need to address the secondary. It’s our only problem on D and it’s becoming glaring.

I wouldn't say they got it done when there were one drop and two overthrown balls to wide open WRs. We will need to play much better against Bama. It was obvious Mizzou was having the FS focus on the run which made us vulnerable to deep passes. Plus we have one LB shadowing Sellers. Change will be made and we just need to see the results in 3 weeks.
