I'm not sure which of Texier or Joseph, but I believe (maybe just not fully informed optimism) at this point that the other could be Carbonneau for at least 9 games, then he goes back to juniors and Dvorsky gets called up to take that spot. That gives Dvorsky a little more time in AHL and Carbonneau the feel. Similar to the approach they took with Perron...many questioned it. I went to an early in season game seeing the whole ice and his play in person, I knew right then he would earn his stay.
Hey, I could be wrong...and if Carbonneau makes it and Dvorsky is also really wanted up here by the Blues, then we'll see what happens.
And we'll see how Joseph & Texier are doing re does management see whom they can trade, or whom would be less costly if waived?
Who knows? This is a fun time of year...and can be frustrating!

What does Monty want? Neighbours is a legit young 2-way forward, a 3rd line of Neighbours-Suter-Dvorsky or Neighbours-DD-Suter could be a legitimate middle-6 scoring line creating significant matchup problems. On the other hand, if Lucic can skate they can push Neighbours over to 3RW and have a physically tougher line. Does Lucic have it left in him to play the Maroon role? I'm very skeptical, much more likely a 4th liner.
I think Dvorsky has a real chance to make the team. I believe they will be better if he does, but they don't really need him just yet. Parking him back in Springfield would certainly help Stenberg, Kaskimaki, et al but what would it do to his psyche? DD needs to make it untenable to farm him out and he might just do that.
I see no point in keeping Texier unless he's a premier penalty killer, by mid-season Stenberg or Kaskimaki might be the better option. Lucic sticks if he can skate but as the depth forward with Joseph. Joseph doesn't create synergy but he brings plenty of speed and tenacity.

Of those four players one of them dwarfs the other three in talent. Dwarfs. So whenever he is ready he has 1 of the spots. I have negative interest in Lucic and Joseph/Texier are the definition of filler. I would rather start seeing some Dylan Peterson than those two
I think Dvorsky is readier than some of you think he is. I am expecting him to be in the Blues lineup within the first third of the season and until they send him down at camp I think he has an excellent shot
