Perhaps several other teams more desperate to promote their prospects? Ya think?Cahokanut wrote: ↑10 Sep 2025 09:19 am
Maybe you should.
When you think about where these guys were drafted and those that were picked before them in their draft.
Snuggs was the 16 forward picked in his draft. He is one of the four left still eligible for this list.
Dvoraky was the 8th forward picked in his draft. He is one of the two still eligible for this list.
So I don't know that, that's so great or even average.

Or we can look at this by what has been accomplished by Jimmy Snuggerud as a player who chose to spend an extra year in college.Cahokanut wrote: ↑10 Sep 2025 09:19 am

In just seven (7) games Snuggerud is already 18th in scoring in his draft year.
Another way to look at this that Snuggerud is 25th in NHL games played and 18th in points.
The one that surprised me was a sort by combined regular season and playoff PPG. Jimmy Snuggerud has a combined total of 0.571 PPG putting him right behind Logan Cooley at 0.694 PPG. Now that may or may not stay that high. But if Snuggerud stays in the top 10, it would be amazing top five in PPG for 2022 first round picks that would be a HUGE draft pick up.

Also, I’m far from a grammar Nazi but sort of ironic you attack someone on their reading and comprehension when you clearly don’t know “must of” makes you look stupid. It’s “must have” or “must’ve”.

Jimmy Snuggerud
Right Wing -- shoots R
Born Jun 1 2004 -- Minneapolis, MN
[21 yrs. ago]
Height 6.01 -- Weight 186 [185 cm/84 kg]
Drafted by St. Louis Blues
- round 1 #23 overall 2022 NHL Entry Draft
https://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/pdi ... pid=238291
Drafted 23rd and 25th in NHL games played. Already in LESS games played Jimmy Snuggerud is.....
Second in PPG for the 2022 draft class, SECOND.
18th in points
13th in points by forwards (to align to your 16th in forwards shift)
He is seven (7) games in and already performing better than his draft rank in every number I checked**. I am sure he isn't perfect, but on paper he looks like he will be top 5 in his draft class.
**Edit - Snuggerud isn't strong on penalties if you are looking for that. Though I would call that a win for a scoring forward.

You just agreed that the 16 picked forward from his draft is 18 in points Per Game from his draft. And this somehow proves his greatness.
You look at a fool pissing in the wind.
Also, I’m far from a grammar Nazi but sort of ironic you attack someone on their reading and comprehension when you clearly don’t know “must of” makes you look stupid. It’s “must have” or “must’ve”.
Two people did exactly that. Before I used it against the name caller. So why you talking to me about judging the kid after 7.
Also. You may look past others incorrect writing, as I've looked past yours. But like coming at me for 7. When it was others making the judgment. But For me. You'll be that Grammar Nazi.

Perhaps. Or maybe since they were picked before Snuggs. they are just better or maybe their teams GM understand talent as On ice Skill. Not whether or not you get along and know Schenn, Sunny, or any other of the good guys.

You are also ignoring he made a team supported choice to play an extra year in college. This isn't a negative. The team supported the player in a personal goal. Now maybe that goal moves to something greater, we can hope.
As for placement on lists. They took into account whatever they did to make their list. They gave it their own "flavor".
We sadly also have to account for the simple fact that teams in smaller markets like St Louis tend to get overlooked in the press. You have a NYT article that others are pushing that would seem to disagree with the NHL prospects list. A lot of press is simply big fan base team click bait. All of this isn't really new though...... as long as the Blues keep doing the right thing the press doesn't matter.

I believe he was told he'll most likely be headed to the A.
and that was what made his decision.
As for Snuggs and the rankings. My point isn't snuggs is bad.
I just don't think the two top twenty rankings is a show of Army greatness. Having them two not being eligible would of showed more.
For as high and as long ago as those picks were got. If not in the Show They should be high on a prospect list. One would expect.

I guess. I'd rather have young NHLers. Then top but almost last to graduate prospects. But I understand how you can appreciate mediocre hockey that has gotten worse as the team turns into a full army product.Harry S Deals wrote: ↑10 Sep 2025 13:41 pmSo the Blues have 2 of the top 25 (so far) and the Blues havent had to make fans endure a "tank" "top 5" to do it? Snuggs was the 16 forward picked in his draft. He is one of the four left still eligible for this list.
Dvoraky was the 8th forward picked in his draft. He is one of the two still eligible for this list.
So I don't know that, that's so great or even average.
Any honest look and judgment by the facts. Not a feeling and one cup. Would point to how some love a cultlife and Army hasn't been all that.

Now you are informing us that guys picked ahead of him are better than him? I hope other posters are taking notes - this is groundbreaking stuff.Cahokanut wrote: ↑10 Sep 2025 13:02 pmDawgDad wrote: ↑10 Sep 2025 11:16 amPerhaps several other teams more desperate to promote their prospects? Ya think?Cahokanut wrote: ↑10 Sep 2025 09:19 am
Maybe you should.
When you think about where these guys were drafted and those that were picked before them in their draft.

Perhaps. Or maybe since they were picked before Snuggs. they are just better or maybe their teams GM understand talent as On ice Skill. Not whether or not you get along and know Schenn, Sunny, or any other of the good guys.

First practice today - he played at 180 last season and he's checking into camp today at 195...STL fan in MN wrote: ↑10 Sep 2025 11:01 amAgree. He’s going to be good. And with Chicago throwing the youngsters out there, he’s bound to get a lot of PP opportunities.BalotelliMassive wrote: ↑10 Sep 2025 08:36 am Sam Rinzel is a dark horse for the Calder if he stays healthy.
I’d consider Snuggerud a dark horse candidate as well but neither as a favorite.
The obvious favorite for the Calder would be Demidov but we’ll see.
Schaefer might stick in the NHL but I doubt he’d win the Calder at 18. A young 18 at that.
The Calder is more wide open this year than most IMO.
