Lived in many places around the world and im no fan of st Louis food either, yuck.
[fork]ing hilarious! As someone who's traveled to a lot of places in the U.S., I would put St. Louis food up against just about any other city. You should try places other than Fazoli's and Cecil Whitakers.
Exactly! St.Louis has been nationally recognized as a great city for foodies. We have several award winning chefs. https://www.stlmag.com/dining/seven-st- ... -beard-aw/

Perhaps Arvid and Bobby need to get out more.

You have awful taste in food and music. Typical STL idiot. Your "U.S." travels do not amount to a pile of sh*t.
Arvid, you're making a fool of yourself.

Arvid, if Imo's is so bad (remember provel is shipped all over the country)
If you and Arvid hate St Louis so much, why ae you reading about it, and getting your panties all twisted? Oh Arvid, if Imo's is so bad (remember provel is shipped all over the country), then why did NOLA restaurant featured on Diners/Dives use it?

The little tweaker has been a fool since the day it was born. But now that mommy let's it have access to the computer, we all get to see how big of a d-bag it is. What's even better is that it feels its words actually mean something. Funny [shirt].

so why did you you move here if you hate us, or if you don't live here, why so obsessed with our cuisine that you comment on it?

I'm not from here, and while I personally think Imo's is tragic, I would never go so far to say that St. Louis 'food is stupid and it sucks' by any stretch of the imagination. There are plenty of very good restaurants in this town whether the haters are aware or not.

As far as our friend Arvid, you are all reading him wrong. His posts are like the marker graffiti you tend to see if public restrooms these days, sometimes you read something witty enough to amuse you. But I never pull out my own marker and respond. Just let him run about underfoot so he can amuse himself. If you must feed him, I hear he prefers hotwings.

This is true - Hodaks is retirement home food.

Just a shout out to all the Blues thread posters who must be hungry. Lived in St. Louis for 35 years, worked there for 22, moved family away in 1998. You don't know what you're missing until it's gone, things like The Hill (Sicilian food), and the wealth of great independent (and eclectic) restaurants with reach. We love where we live but it takes 20 minutes to get out of our suburban development area, where the restaurant selections are good but far more limited.

We've been to the finest Italian restaurants in town looking for REAL veal piccata, my wife's favorite. What they serve is a poor imitation with a French style sauce. When I tried to explain gooey butter cakes to our Publix grocery store bakery they thought I was making it up, no one had ever even heard of it. Pork steaks - we order them special cut.

I have found a good substitute for Imo's, it's a little NY style deli run by a crusty old guy from The City.

Always brought back Mama Toscano's frozen ravioli and MacArthur's gooey butter cakes whenever in St. Louis, and that was many times over the years.
