4. A Cy young caliber SP
The Cardinals need to address the holes at the top 4 spots on the roster. 2 MOTO bas and 1-2 TOR SP. this team is stacked with 1-2 tool role players that will fit perfectly around the stars. Waiting to add them will draft out the rebuild and loose more fans. Bloom need to make everyone except Wetherholt and Doyle available along with the $100m ownership took off the books to add difference makers. Players fans want to buy jerseys of. Until then attendance will continue to drop. Am thinking 10-15k per game next season. Under 20k now and they raised prices.

Because the already won for this franchise. No one on this team has a WS ring. Hard passCarp4Cy wrote: ↑28 Aug 2025 16:57 pmHe's on the DL. I'm saying I'd go see them though. Used my savings to go see Stapleton and it was well worth it. He’s a superstar. When Cardinals have an equivalent I will return. A lot of people must agree.scoutyjones2 wrote: ↑28 Aug 2025 17:22 pmWNBA, Soccer, NeckCar, musicals, book signings,..Youboughtit wrote: ↑28 Aug 2025 10:23 am 1. A legit WS team. Not WC. You can be an owner minion willing to watch a AAA roster if you want. Give him the $ in advance to go get more average players. I will wait for stars before spending mine because I beleive the owner has lost his fastball and desire to win which requires a top 11 payroll like 06-11.scoutyjones2 wrote: ↑28 Aug 2025 20:08 pmEven more like Taylor Swift, Beyonce, etc...Youboughtit wrote: ↑28 Aug 2025 18:53 pmUsed my savings to go see Stapleton and it was well worth it. Minor league baseball is anything but cheap. I was astounded when looking at the prices for the AA Frisco Roughriders. Ridiculous is a word that comes to mind. They lost my business within minutes.3dender wrote: ↑28 Aug 2025 10:42 am There's two aspects to selling tickets:
1) An entertaining product
2) Fanbase can afford it
You and most of the discourse on this have focused on #1. If FO is not gonna have #1 they could easily address #2 by lowering prices, offering specials, etc.
Dozens of minor league teams around the country sell a ton of tickets without any of those 4 things you listed. It's because it's a cheap and fun way to spend an afternoon or evening.
Imagine if the Cards came out tomorrow and said, "Y'know what, we recognize we haven't provided a great product for our fans the last few years. To make up for it we're going to lower prices 30% for next year." They'd not only sell more tickets for next year, they'd create a lot of good will that might even spill over to the rest of this year.

Fans want to see exciting baseball. They want to see a team with personality. They want to see competitive fire.
They dont want to see players flailing away looking over-matched. They dont want boring baseball and boring personalities. Fans dont want to see a pud being outwitted every night. And they dont want arrogance from the front office and ownership.

Winning would solve a lot of ills but with this current team winning is not an option.

Winning what? A WS yes. A WC no. After this CBA half the teams will “get in”. But only a few have a chance to win. A top 11 payroll has won all but 3 WS in the last 25 years. I use 11 because the Cardinals in 06-11 were 11th and the Royals were 13th. That would require a $205m payroll. Just getting in will not work anymore
