Kinda weird that they are so good late in the season, every year. The pattern is so predictable that the TV networks know that they can bet on it.Stlcardsblues wrote: ↑27 Aug 2025 17:37 pmKind of weird to be worried about draft position when the Blues will be in the 2026 playoffs.a smell of green grass wrote: ↑27 Aug 2025 14:34 pm 1 game in October

7 games when the regular season is over. This is Army's "killing season". The team starts hitting everything moving in golf carts at this time of year.
Makes sense that they would show the1 team still trying to win meaningless games, purposefully killing their own draft position.
Last year, Florida lost 7 of their last 10 regular season games. They don't want to show those types of teams.
Doing so for 20 years tells me that there is a side agenda playing out for the Blues and the rest of the NHL.
I think it has something to do with Army's creed that the Blues will "stay competitive".
I think that it also has something to do with the Blues not drafting in the TOP 5 in 16 years, and only once in the TOP 10 since then.
I smell pro wrestling, and I don't like it.

St. Louis
Buffalo
Pittsburgh (not sure about recently)
Are usually the top 3 markets for NHL TV revenue in the USA. Obviously the Blues, but any olympics, world Jr's. Frozen 4.... etc. any hockey that is on TV, STL is always top 3 cities that watch.
