thanks, MattMitch!!!
started the year between 18-25 (depending on the publication), now we're 8-13. Improvement with draft, but more importantly, the Cards really did well to stack their mid tier rankings with the recent trade deadline. We got back a bunch of 40 grade to 45 grade prospects in those bullpen trades.

up and down with the starting pitching...but they have a while to develop. I like the Dohm kid from Miss. State...eventually he'll be an adequate 4-5 starter. Jesus Baez struggled first 2 1/2 weeks, no XBH...then rattled off 2 HR's last week. He's really raw. Blaze Jordan is a weaker Jordan Walker....loves to pound the ball into the ground, sometimes he gets ahold of one...sometimes. I'm not impressed with Blaze...at the moment.Red7 wrote: ↑26 Aug 2025 17:56 pmSpeaking of which, how are they doing?craviduce wrote: ↑26 Aug 2025 17:53 pm thanks, MattMitch!!!

How much weight do Wetherholt and Doyle alone carry? If the rank would be 15-20 without them then really nothing has changed.craviduce wrote: ↑26 Aug 2025 18:00 pmup and down with the starting pitching...but they have a while to develop. JJ and Quinn and Tink only got us in the 18-22 range...that was when both Quinn and Tink were highly rated. It was the lack 35-45 rated players...we were really really thin.Youboughtit wrote: ↑26 Aug 2025 18:04 pmHow much weight do Wetherholt and Doyle alone carry? it also helped, and I didn't note, that the DSL yielded 2 highly touted prospects last winter.....Rodriguez and Padilla...with Strop and Hunter on the Horizon

First of all, thanks Crav. Guys like Crooks, Bernial, Church and Baez have progressed. As have a couple of pitchers. Quin Mathews still has weight.Youboughtit wrote: ↑26 Aug 2025 18:04 pmHow much weight do Wetherholt and Doyle alone carry? There’s a different slang meaning for dsl. I’m told.craviduce wrote: ↑26 Aug 2025 18:40 pmsorry....Domincan Summer League.....and when I said last winter...that's when they entered the conversation as top Prospects.Absolut wrote: ↑26 Aug 2025 18:39 pmDSL?craviduce wrote: ↑26 Aug 2025 18:08 pmJJ and Quinn and Tink only got us in the 18-22 range...that was when both Quinn and Tink were highly rated. Re: McDaniel rates Cardinals farm system 9th
Nice to see the Cardinals moving higher in the farm system rankings.
Baseball America recently released their August updated rankings .
The Milwaukee Brewers , our divisional leading team, was ranked No. 1 farm system . So Bloom has his work cut out for him .
Go Cards !
