Your blow back on this subject, on this thread. is evident. You’re obviously not a positive Cardinal fan right now. Maybe come back when they’re doing better?
I'm a real Cardinal fan. I talk with many others personally that totally agree with me. No stars on this team, totally a minor league level team.
So “real” Cardinal fans dump on their own team?
LOL. No, Red, you’re a “warm weather “ fan.
You don’t cheer for your team when they’re down. You turn your back on them.
So, you are telling me how to be a fan.
You have a troll who has to have the last word...this thread will go on for [fork]ing ever!😝
Once the last word thing was called out in the other thread, he conveniently stopped posting in it. With any luck, that will happen here, as well!

Attempting to have a fair conversation with someone who thinks he's never wrong can be a source of frustration. Although being confident in your beliefs is usually a positive attribute, everyone knows a person who finds it virtually impossible to admit that they've done or said something wrong. As a result, you're left wondering if a discussion is even worth the effort, since the person who just has to be right.

Again, turning your back on the owner and turning your back on the team are two different things.

It isn't worth it as you never get anywhere and it leads to pages and pages of bickering when we could be using that energy to discuss the same topics with others who are genuinely here for true conversation.

Kinda funny we still have threads like this. Is there anyone who didn't know what this season was going to be like? As frustrating and dull as Cardinals baseball has been this year, no one can genuinely say it was unexpected.

AAA team, as the OP suggests? The Cardinals were .500 at the trade deadline. Mediocrity doesn't get any more mediocre. So at the deadline the team traded some marketable assets for more prospects. What did anyone expect to happen? A winning streak? More mediocrity? The team has played under .500 since the deadline. Does anyone enjoy that? No. But I think it is wholly expected.

So what's a lifelong diehard Cardinals fan to do? One could just punt on the '25 Cardinals season and spend sports attention energy elsewhere. NCAA football is here and the NFL is soon to follow. We are weeks away from the NHL pre-season. The Premier League and other European soccer leagues have kicked off. I just watched 4 dwarfs race a camel on the internet. So there's other things to do. Or one could follow this rebuild (I really don't care what anyone else calls it) and see who makes something of their opportunity and who doesn't, who sinks and who swims. As a 50+ year Cardinals fan I've been in this situation before, and know there are brighter days ahead, and that satisfaction will be gleaned from the memories of watching some of these guys develop.

Go Cards. Beat Pittsburgh. I don't wanna be a Pirate.

I like you are a Cardinal fan. And even with their frustrating record I still miss watching very few games.
