I'm not sure why the big market owners would agree to sell their property to small market owners, nor how the small market teams are going to come up with the revenue required for such a purchase. I don't know what new conditions you are going sell the big market teams under. I also don't think the players are going to except a cap without a major labor disruption. Not saying they shouldn't but I don't think they will.

I'm not sure why the big market owners would agree to sell their property to small market owners, nor how the small market teams are going to come up with the revenue required for such a purchase. I don't know what new conditions you are going sell the big market teams under. I also don't think the players are going to except a cap without a major labor disruption. You forget that in this hypothetical, I'm emperor.

So if the Big Markets don't agree to sell, they can keep their franchises with the understanding that revenue sharing (as described) is going to be part of baseball, whether they like it or not.

The small markets can borrow the money and pay much of it back when they resell the big-market teams. They'll probably have to cover some of the cost, but divided 25 ways, it shouldn't be that heavy a burden.

The conditions I would resell the big-market teams under are:
* Revenue sharing of ALL TV Money.
* Salary cap and floor.
* Reduced service time to free agency of one year (This is to make players accept the deal)

Lastly, the players will accept a cap as long as there is also a floor and revenue sharing. The cap might be a floating percentage of total revenue. In any case, since I'm emperor, I can impose whatever conditions I like. The players can accept it or get a job driving UPS trucks.

Maybe so, but their revenue sharing, cap/floor system works great. The Kansas City Chiefs (Small Market) have won three of the last 6 SBs.
