Certainly that’s on the players, but it’s also on the Manager to enforce that, especially when dealing with young players!JuanAgosto wrote: ↑19 Aug 2025 19:44 pmPoor leadership and lack of maturity. Ask your phone , why do some athletes laugh after making an error in sports? You will find that it is not about being serious nor a disrespect but a coping mechanism for some .JuanAgosto wrote: ↑19 Aug 2025 19:53 pmPlayers will make errors. Won’t go into all the specifics but do it on your phone and you can read about it.

The Cards had a killer bullpen in 2025; it was deeper than 2024 even though the top guys maybe not quite as good. Too bad they spent most of the year behind the other teams.
With better starters (and defense), we could have been somebody!
The 2025 bullpen is almost mistake proof. Just pick a guy and he gets outs. Marmol has done better with matchups, I think, this year, too.

The Cards are not trying to "be a contender", but they weren't that far away. 2 starters and a RF would have made a big difference.butsir01 wrote: ↑19 Aug 2025 21:12 pmAre you listening, Rod Steiger?cardstatman wrote: ↑19 Aug 2025 21:10 pmThe Cards had a killer bullpen in 2025; it was deeper than 2024 even though the top guys maybe not quite as good. MdCreevy in the rotation for the entire season would have made a difference.cardstatman wrote: ↑19 Aug 2025 21:23 pmThe Cards are not trying to "be a contender", but they weren't that far away.
