I can remember that like it was yesterday. This 9yo was in Iowa in my grandparent's kitchen with my dad and grandpa, listening to the final outs from a crackling radio station in northern Missouri. The house was mostly dark because the women had all gone to bed and there we were hanging on every work of Jack Buck.
