This is the first I've heard that Horn is in the lead. Every other source is betting on Pribula.
If Pribula does prevail, then I think he will take significant carries away from Hardy. I expect big things from Hardy, but predicting a record setting season is a hot take
Vanderbilt has more talent this season than they had last season, so it's not a gimme.
If a DE leads the team in tackles, then football will have become a completely different game. If they really meant sacks, then ok. To me, that means Smith and Wilson didn't live up to the hype, or Zion Young became a 1st round pick.

True. A cursory look at stats for last season, around 18 of the top 20 tacklers were linebackers . The others were defensive backs.

Vandy's Diego Pavia is quite the media darling. He is a good arm and elusive but he can't win a game by himself. A balanced D and he loses

I have my doubts Pavia and Vandy can match their magical 2024 but they won't be an easy out.

Worth noting the article lists these as their bold predictions for the season. Makes the context of numbers 1, 3, and 4 make a bit more sense.

Also I disagree on all of them except 5. Pribula starts, Zollers is given the year to learn (injury or disasters aside), the staff rotates the backs too much, Newsom or Catalon lead in tackles.

I agree with him on the Kansas game and it's importance and potential problems for the Tigers but I also agree the Tigers win it.

Well I did not assume....I did not even think about it to assume....nor do I care about that one way or another.

person shows how much they know about CFB with Zion y prediction. As for starting QB it will be determined on the field in first game, maybe. both have really great tools and we shall see who it is.

Used to be fixated on all the polls and predictions till you realize in this NIL age and TP with huge turnover no one really knows anything and it's just their opinion. Like finebaum jumping back on the Bama wagon when there are 5 or 6 teams who could win SEC with Tx and GA having the best talent.

I plan on simply enjoying every game and truly concerned about the KS game as their HC is really good and even tho they lost a lot of talent, did restock thru portal like MU did.

I was so looking forward to first weekend of CFB and I am heading out on a music cruise out of Boston. last few didn't have many sports areas to watch so hopefully I will see the big games. Will tape first MU game of course and will enjoy when I get back. We will learn a lot about Drink and his potential as a HC in that game. He needs to beat the bejeebers out of them and never stop attacking in second half even if they have a huge lead. HAS to evaluate these QB's under fire and operating the O at full capacity. It's what the big brands do.

Hardy will be really good but won't break any records as they have some terrific depth in that room and IF Beau is the dude he will get a lot of rushing yards. Besides this is the SEC and it will take a toll on the young dudes body lot different than the conference he was in last.
