I get it but, Walker is no outfield General.
Correct.
He should have taken charge.
And realized his mistake too late.
Heck Mel. Would you trust Walker or try to take charge?
Obviously, not.
That was his play all the way.
And he yielded.
He is awfully passive for a kid his age.
Not very aggressive - and that could be a problem long term.
He yielded because he was called off he can’t run him over to try to catch it
Had he attempted to make the play, Hampson would have yielded.
Again, 2 outfielders and neither one made the correct decision.
Way too much of that with the current manager and staff.

I remember going to the baseball games back in the old Bush Stadium as a kid and watching Bob Gibson pitch. I have been a fan from then to now. But I stopped watching and paying attention years ago when I felt the owners really stopped putting heart and soul into the team and just wanted to get older players they could pay for less or get a player who was decent but wouldn't demand big money...they seemed to always come in second just to make it look like they were going after big time players. They seemed to sorta just want to get by and look to the fans as if they really are trying to be competitive when they really wasnt at all. I kinda got excited by the winning streak they had earlier in the season. This team team has a few good players. They need new owners but that aint an option. I guess once hes done with Baseball village, he will put heart and soul into the team. To have the history we have with the Cards, there is no way we should be this bad. Some one said earlier in this thread Moe destroyed this team...well he didnt do it by his self. The owners helped him. For crying out loud, the owners wont even get a real coach! I hope while im still on this earth, I get to see Cards in the WS again. I love my Cardinals.
How old are ya?
Hahaha....old enough to see Gibby and company. I keep hoping and dreaming we'd get an owner like Gussie...some one just half the baseball man he was. If so, they Cards would be much better. As much as I hated Larussa, he was a hell of a coach...and dont let me talk about Herzog...them days are gone...hope they return some day.

I only meant that it may be a bit before this team wins ever again. I meant no disrespect at all.

No. It's the so called "talent" on the roster.
You would think Smellville would understand that the CFer is the one who runs the OF and his call on a play is yielded by the lesser corner OFers like Just Worthless
