I like it too. Took a long time to realize Ivan isn't a #2 hitter.

Is Fake Tough Guy Contreas out with a sore foot?
Re: Lineup ~ Herrera to Cleanup, Winn to 2 hole.
Well, he snapped a bat over his knee after he got hit (he broke it first slamming it to ground), maybe he has multiple bruises.
Dude might want to get out the way sometimes.

Even worse fit in the middle of the lineup.RamFan08NY wrote: ↑15 Aug 2025 14:28 pm I like it too. Took a long time to realize Ivan isn't a #2 hitter.
4 XBH's in 68 June PA's.
1 XBH's in 60 July PA's.
3 XBH's in 46 August PA's.
That is 8 XBH's in his last 174 PA's.
Bad.
Really bad.
Worse than most backup, end of the bench, middle infielders.
Re: Lineup ~ Herrera to Cleanup, Winn to 2 hole.
Are you sure about that?
Herrera is a better cleanup option than Contreras?

Re: Lineup ~ Herrera to Cleanup, Winn to 2 hole.
No cardinal is hitting for power. Herrera has as many home runs and more doubles than the great power hitting Nolan Gorman and Herrera is hitting .368 .451 1.030 with runners in scoring position and .288 .369 .829 with men on while Gorman is completely useless at .176 .253 .591 with runners in scoring position and .221 .294 .736 with men on. So the logic is since no one is hitting for power go for the one who isn’t useless with men on its sound logicMelville wrote: ↑15 Aug 2025 18:31 pmAre you sure about that?

Burleson batting 3rd. Tells you everything you need. Roster is horrible.

Herrera is one of the team's best singles hitters.
And one of the worst at producing XBH's.
Just about the last guy you want at cleanup - other than Scott or Hampson.

What did Gorman do with runners in scoring position he has as many home runs and fewer doubles than Herrera and he’s supposed to be a power hitter that’s a unicorn according to you lol and Gorman is completely useless with runners on base and in scoring position unlike Herrera who hits well in those situationsMelville wrote: ↑15 Aug 2025 22:24 pmObviously, I was right yet again.Ozziesfan41 wrote: ↑15 Aug 2025 18:39 pmNo cardinal is hitting for power. The topic is Herrera as a clean-up hitter.
My analysis, as always, was accurate because it is fact based.
There is no discussion of Gorman at clean-up, to the best of my knowledge.
Let's stay on-topic.

Well with the injuries Herrera is the best available to hit clean up because he actually hits very well with runners in scoring position.Melville wrote: ↑15 Aug 2025 22:50 pmYou may want to re-read the subject line of this thread.Ozziesfan41 wrote: ↑15 Aug 2025 22:30 pmWhat did Gorman do with runners in scoring position he has as many home runs and fewer doubles than Herrera and he’s supposed to be a power hitter that’s a unicorn according to you lol and Gorman is completely useless with runners on base and in scoring position unlike Herrera who hits well in those situationsMelville wrote: ↑15 Aug 2025 22:24 pmObviously, I was right yet again.Ozziesfan41 wrote: ↑15 Aug 2025 18:39 pmNo cardinal is hitting for power.
