Why take a shot at old people. I was with you until then. The team, the owner, the POBO all have a lot to do with no one showing up to the games but what did old people have to do with any of this.
You lighten up (donkey)(pit). I just explained to another poster that I haven’t followed the give and take close enough I guess, so I was wondering what old people had to do with this mess.
You and your response though can kiss my (donkey).

Hahaha. You didn’t explain anything. You decided to start with an insult and continued with some sophomoric nonsense. 73?? I would have guessed more like 15. I’m not that interested in your “adult conversation”, I was just a part of it and the “adults” in your world still use crayons. Go back to your hole and enjoy the rest of your day.

I believe this where a lot of people are.ForumPolice wrote: ↑13 Aug 2025 16:10 pm I can't speak for anyone else but they lost me in March of 2024. Finished 2023 with a 71 and 91 record and follow that dreadful season with a Marmol extension. That to me was an unforgivable sin. I understand losing seasons happen but typically you're going to realize big changes are needed afterwards. Giving him that extension following that season told me that winning was no big deal and mediocrity, and even worse, was acceptable.
I took the family to one game this year because it's tradition but I typically only DVR the games now so I can fast forward through the lukewarm soup of a game.
I didn't like the manager hiring from day one and I certainly didn't like the extension so I'm kind of done following like I had my whole life until he departs the premises
I'm one of the lucky ones who can get free tickets and I took some friends to my one game against the Cubs and yes lots of times I do DVR the game but the whole cavalier accept losing country club attitude is a major turn off for me.

You know, I already feel bad about engaging him this much. I wasted time that I can’t get back. Thanks for letting me know. Again, I guess I don’t follow the posters enough to realize who is who.riff raff wrote: ↑13 Aug 2025 16:12 pmwtl fk face is a simp and a troll.Whatashame wrote: ↑13 Aug 2025 15:59 pmWLTFE wrote: ↑13 Aug 2025 15:47 pmLighten up Francis...it was an excuse used on an earlier thread as to why the attendance was down...I'm 73 and go to a lot of games.Whatashame wrote: ↑13 Aug 2025 15:35 pm

Re: Where are the Cardinals fans?
As a cardinal fan its painful to say, but this is how we need the season to go from this point on.
Empty seats.
Boring, lackluster losses.
Subpar pitching.
Subpar hitting.
Subpar defense.
Subpar base running.
Subpar managing.
Im sure that Bloom doesn't want to be embarrassed, ruining any chance he has for better jobs in the future. I would hope ownership doesn't want to continue being embarrassed with 75% empty seats.
They either decide to turn it around, or decide to continue being the Rockies, Marlins, and Pirates.

Re: Where are the Cardinals fans?
I see this every attendance thread. Don’t get it with homicides the lowest since 2013 and first half of this year (usually the worst) the least since 2014. Attendance was just fine before so had to look it up cuz all the comments. Guessing these are just bots?desertrat23 wrote: ↑13 Aug 2025 14:25 pmYou forgot that you have a 100% chance of being murdered if you go downtown.

I don't think that's a particularly big reason people are staying away, but on the news yesterday, it listed St. Louis as the highest homicide percentage in the country.SalukiTex wrote: ↑13 Aug 2025 17:20 pmI see this every attendance thread. Average team, cheap ownership, way too expensive.
All probably bigger reasons.

“Fan” doesn’t mean blindly loyal. Mo and his bosses have killed the golden goose. Can’t expect people to shrug their shoulders and say “oh well.”dugoutrex wrote: ↑13 Aug 2025 17:14 pmmost on here just want to rant about Mo and Oli - not sure I'd call them fansdesertrat23 wrote: ↑13 Aug 2025 17:13 pmWhat do you mean? The elderly are easy to make fun of these days until you are one of them like the clowns on here will be one day but they take their pot shots at the 65 and older which in definition is when you are called elderly.Whatashame wrote: ↑13 Aug 2025 15:35 pm

Well when the fan base is old and no young people are watching the fanbase eventually dies. I am 52 and my father is 75. We were season ticket holders for 35 years until Covid. I have 3 kids who grew up through 2006 and 2011 going to meaningful baseball. 5 fans that now watch or listen to 0 Cardinals games. My kids view the Cardinals as I used to the Pirates. A small market with an owner that doesn’t spend. The Cardinals need to develop a new young fan base.Whatashame wrote: ↑13 Aug 2025 15:54 pmdesertrat23 wrote: ↑13 Aug 2025 15:44 pmIt’s less a shot at old people and more a shot at Cranny, who used “old people can’t handle the heat” as an excuse for poor attendance. Sorry I guess I haven’t followed the give and take very well. It at least explains it to me. I was wondering what the heck old people had to do with this mess.

BDW is in great jeopardy of losing The STL fan base for exactly this reason. Younger generations don’t have the passion for the game or Cardinals that gen X and older do. Cardinals fandom will be lost forever if this isn’t fixed immediately. Not 3,4,5 yrs “to figure out what they have”
