The Cards Talk knock is that nothing matters if you don't have postseason success. Does the same hold true for the Brewers?
Apples and oranges.
Please explain.

Cards Talk says the 2019 season was a complete embarrassment because we got swept in the NLCS. When is the last time the Brewers made the World Series? 1982?

Yet, Cards Talk strives to be just like the Brewers. Love this place.
Did you watch the 2019 NLCS? A historically poor offensive performance? But I digress..

The Brewers are doing an amazing job with payroll efficiency that the Cardinals would do well to model. But the Cardinals are the Yankees of the NL, a blue-blood franchise with considerably more resources and fan support than Milwaukee. The Cardinals should be kicking the Brewers’ (bleep) from here to Kenosha. The fact that it’s the other way around is a result of choices on ownership/FOs part.
Wake me up when the Brewers win anything that matters.

ZERO World Series titles.

43 years since last World Series appearance.

Yes, this is what the Cards should strive for and I'm sure Cards Talk would love this.
Wake me up when the Cardinals next win anything that matters.
Will do. 2011 is a lot closer than never.
How long do they get to use that for equity?
Well, if the Crew is your measuring stick... 8O
We’re 14.5 games behind them. More like a measuring yard stick.

And if not them, then who?
The context was they are doing things right but have won nothing, meanwhile, you're supposedly a fan of the NL team with the most championships

That's the measuring stick, per the discussion
If you’d rather watch David Freese highlights than pay attention to what’s going on now, good for you. The Brewers are in a hell of a lot better position than we are and have been for a while.

Since it’s a Game Day Thread: Gorman drives in Walker. 3-2 St. Louis.
You can't stay in context and your moving goalposts. No one is discussing where you took it on your own..

What's going on now? The Brewers have made the NLCS ONCE since the Cards last won a World Series in 2011. They lost. They don't have any exciting hightlights of anything. Is that what you strive for?

Surprised Imanaga made that 2 strike mistake to Gorman.
When he swings at strikes and doesn’t chase he can be dangerous.
Keep it going!

Walker has sneaky speed. If he can get on base more consistently he could become a 30 SB guy

Big hits by Walker and Gorman! This is exactly why I questioned Oli’s line up choices since the All-Star break. These two guys have to play nearly every day here on out. Players like Donovan, Contreras, and Nootbaar, do not need to play everyday, and Hampson doesn’t need to start at all.

O' Brien and Romero are the de facto 8th/9th combo for STL.
Looks like The Marmot is locked into that decision.
We shall see how that works out....

He's due up next inning and you don't want to take his bat out of the lineup in a 1 run game.
