The Cards Talk knock is that nothing matters if you don't have postseason success. Does the same hold true for the Brewers?
Cards Talk says the 2019 season was a complete embarrassment because we got swept in the NLCS. When is the last time the Brewers made the World Series? 1982?
Yet, Cards Talk strives to be just like the Brewers. Love this place.
The Brewers are doing an amazing job with payroll efficiency that the Cardinals would do well to model. But the Cardinals are the Yankees of the NL, a blue-blood franchise with considerably more resources and fan support than Milwaukee. The Cardinals should be kicking the Brewers’ (bleep) from here to Kenosha. The fact that it’s the other way around is a result of choices on ownership/FOs part.
ZERO World Series titles.

What's going on now? The Brewers have made the NLCS ONCE since the Cards last won a World Series in 2011. They lost. They don't have any exciting hightlights of anything. Is that what you strive for?desertrat23 wrote: ↑10 Aug 2025 20:57 pmIf you’d rather watch David Freese highlights than pay attention to what’s going on now, good for you. Surprised Imanaga made that 2 strike mistake to Gorman.
When he swings at strikes and doesn’t chase he can be dangerous.
Keep it going!

Walker has sneaky speed. If he can get on base more consistently he could become a 30 SB guy

Big hits by Walker and Gorman! This is exactly why I questioned Oli’s line up choices since the All-Star break. These two guys have to play nearly every day here on out. Players like Donovan, Contreras, and Nootbaar, do not need to play everyday, and Hampson doesn’t need to start at all.

Re: GDT : Cards vs. Cubs (8/10) ~ 6:10pm CDT
O' Brien and Romero are the de facto 8th/9th combo for STL.
Looks like The Marmot is locked into that decision.
We shall see how that works out....

He's due up next inning and you don't want to take his bat out of the lineup in a 1 run game.
