ESPN has been going steadily downhill for two decades.
When I want solid coverage of one of the leagues I watch:
MLB Network
NFL Network
NBA TV
ESPN is a woke joke!

Which trade deadline? He adds Motters and Hampsons. Deals middle relievers for next to nothing at trade deadlines, acquires nothing that could help the team. He's the laziest POBO in the game and you defend what he says about this year's deadline?scoutyjones2 wrote: ↑10 Aug 2025 20:27 pmWhat?slimjay63801 wrote: ↑10 Aug 2025 20:24 pmProbably that he could've said it maybe 6 or 7 years ago. Someone tell the announcer that the cards have already sucked for 3 years so a succession plan of sucking for 3 more years is not some work of brilliance. But seems they all have the feeling cards will not spend the money coming off the books or why say what they said.

Did you watch the 2019 NLCS? A historically poor offensive performance? But I digress..cardinalsfever44 wrote: ↑10 Aug 2025 20:26 pmPlease explain.desertrat23 wrote: ↑10 Aug 2025 20:24 pmApples and oranges.cardinalsfever44 wrote: ↑10 Aug 2025 20:22 pmThe Cards Talk knock is that nothing matters if you don't have postseason success. Cranny and the rest of the fanboys here can be proud.
Cards Talk says the 2019 season was a complete embarrassment because we got swept in the NLCS. When is the last time the Brewers made the World Series? 1982?
Yet, Cards Talk strives to be just like the Brewers. Love this place.
The Brewers are doing an amazing job with payroll efficiency that the Cardinals would do well to model. But the Cardinals are the Yankees of the NL, a blue-blood franchise with considerably more resources and fan support than Milwaukee. The Cardinals should be kicking the Brewers’ (bleep) from here to Kenosha. The fact that it’s the other way around is a result of choices on ownership/FOs part.

ZERO World Series titles.
43 years since last World Series appearance.
Yes, this is what the Cards should strive for and I'm sure Cards Talk would love this.
