Don’t get me wrong I like Winn I was saying they should try to sign him to a team friendly contract that buys out a couple of free agency years because I think what he is now is his floor which is pretty good but still if what he is now is the best your team has to offer your team is in a sad sorry state of affairs

Contreras is a good player I like him he’s probably my favorite cardinal right now him and Herrera. The problem is he is a complementary player not the guy and people mistakenly think he should be the guy and because he isn’t they hate on him for that. He’s not getting paid like he’s the guy he’s getting paid like a complementary player and that’s what he was supposed to be he was supposed to be a complimentary player to Goldy and arenado which he would have flourished as but sadly goldy and arenado completely collapsed making him the guy by default. And now the cardinals best players Donovan burly and Contreras are thrust into having to be the guys and that’s not what they are they are complimentary players

Agreed, and to make matters worse neither Walker nor Gorman have developed into anything remotely close to being “the guy” that they thought they could once Goldy/Nado declined. And it all happened at once.

Now we’re stuck hoping for Wetherholt to be that. And hoping the new front office can develop/find another guy or two like Wetherhol to also be the guyt. We will see.

WC is one of the players I wish would have waived his no trade clause. WC simply is not in the Cards future. I would rather see Burleson at first base.

Trouble is the future looks worse than the present. Unless that changes I'd like to keep Willson thru his option year in 28.

A punk?....on the field?.....everything I've read about him says he's a great guy....his teammates say he's a great guy...saying he doesn't want to win is ridiculous...he wanted to be in st louis and made that clear before he signed...he believed this organization was still the one ..who was always in the hunt for a division title and be playing in the post season more times than not.....he's not the problem
