A monster move for the blues was hitting a home run on Tarasenko and Jaden Schwartz. Both of those guys were amazing for the city. And they were a big part of rebuilding the franchise and winning a cup.

Yup. A huge win for the Blues. The Blues sold high on Stempniak (a decent if streaky player) and ended up with a much better player who was a huge part of the team, a leader on the Cup roster, and is now headed for the GM job. Era defining move.

My parents moved to Florida about 15 years ago. They live in one of those 55+ communities. Lots of Canadians winter there. I was talking to a guy from Toronto a few years ago and he was still (upset) they traded Steen away.

I was kinda surprised it took awhile for someone to say Unger (I agree with DawgDad). Binner, Tarasenko and obviously Hull. I'm older so there's too many to name them all.

Well, I'll say I have a few disagreements. Love Demitra, LOVE the guy. He has to go "Honorable Mention" because you can't have Adam Oates as second tier. Hull was never the same without him. I have to put Shanahan top tier as well. Can we squeeze him in, or do I have to try to figure someone to drop? Let's just squeeze the two HOF's into the Top Tier. IMHO for what it's worth, and it aint much.

Over his career Oates was a better center than any other center in the acquisiton list other than Turgeon. I tried to rank them by what they meant to the Blues, where length of service bears merit. I really don't have an issue putting Oates in the ranked list, for a couple of years he did have a huge impact on the scoreboard and he was a big part of the 90-91 team's success.

I give Zezel a lot of credit for working with Hull, too.
