Thanks for saying it.

Respect your elders, why, because they were born before me? Every time I've ever heard that ridiculous phrase it was from someone who didn't like the reaction their disrespect brought back to them.

Very true. The Golden Rule. Where did it come from?
You mean like yesterday when you told someone he was a terrible poster just because he said something untoward about your pretend friends in the Cards FO? That Golden Rule? I’m thinking you haven’t the slightest idea what it’s about.
Actually I do, Rojo. And if you knew me personally you would know I try to follow it. But let’s get back to baseball and not be in your attack mode.
You can’t communicate that way. Ending a conversation by telling someone they are in attack mode is not prudent. It’s equivalent to getting the last word in.

Swoop.
So now you’re telling others what to do, dawg? I thought you were above that.
One more note of etiquette. When you’re out here flapping on a hot Mike, an open net, you are gonna get heard. No one swoops into a conversation. They enter it. There is an entry point. And a conversation on an open Mike is not owned by anyone. It’s free game.

If you don’t want swooped down upon, may I recommend a PM.
Good point. It would prevent posters from coming in on a conversation that’s basically going on between two people on a thread. You should offer that advice to all posters who are guilty.

We are all guilty. When two go at it, they hijack a posters thread intent. That’s what a Pm does, works positive and negative issues offline.

In a thread, although clearly consumed by two posters, proper protocol would say stay away; but that’s not proper protocol on an open net. An open net is an interstate and people get on and off anywhere. At their leisure.

It’s a free for all.

Monopoly taught how to make and use money in real estate. The best game was SORRY. Both it and aggrevation, were stellar.

Not far behind was Yahtzee.
All solid.
But my preference was chess.
I forgot about chess. Love it. Here’s one- Card games. Anyone remember playing Canasta with grand maw while skipping school.
Super Slo Mo, of course, prefers checkers.
He and The Marmot play daily.
You not going to have a POBO to bash in about 2 months. And if Oli goes, you’ll be left with nothing to talk about.
Do pay attention to this worthy thread.
I never "bash".
I merely analyze with at extreme high level of insight - often ingeniously and memorably (such as my previous post above).
Once Super Slo Mo and The Marmot exit stage left, other actors will enter - and will provide me the ample opportunity to educate all as to their performance.
Baseball is a beautiful game and never fails to provide topics of debate and conversation.
So, rest assured.
You will have much to read and enjoy, which I always offer as an act of service.
My question is - why do you continue this weird schtick? I wonder what a psychoanalyst would say about you, and your incessant bizarre desire for attention.
Or your insatiable appetite to consume my posts?
On that point, one key lesson from my career which might of helpful to you: answers are uncovered in asking the correct questions.
I believe that and practice that. But you constantly are starving for attention. That’s why you developed your schtick, and why you continue, even under ridicule. Have you ever asked yourself why?
An example of not asking the right question.
Here is one more apropos.
Why is there an insatiable appetite, on the part of so many, to consume by posts?
Learn the answer to that, and the door to further understanding is unlocked.
And if I may take things one step further, it is only and always about the game.
Absolutely.
Terrific observation on your part.
Case in point.
This thread was created due to recent fandom commentary related to N/A - both the negative and the positive.
And I would be first to admit that N/A is unquestionably a highly relevant part of the game right now and has been for some time.
Thank you, Mel.

N/A is absolutely, 100% part of the game. It’s undeniable.

I do not believe he has highjacked the thread at all.
Several of his posts are extremely relevant to the OP.

You even thought you had enough training to analyze his motivation for the things he posts about (attention seeking). Why was it okay for you to question/analyze Mel re his motivations, yet you accused me of attacking you for doing the very things you had done to Mel? Would you consider your behavior to be narcissistic in nature?
Honest question for you Rojo. A number of posters have gone after Melville for his severely ego laced posts. Why do you make comments to me and not to those others?
Ah, the narcissistic behavior of you. I legitimately asked you several questions and you stiffed me for an answer. Instead, you turned it around and made it about you. Can I get an answer?

As for an open net being an interstate and people get off and on anywhere , that is partly true but even the interstate is not a free for all .
If I realize I missed my exit, it is not permissable to make a U turn in median emergency lane where cops sit . If I do , I risk getting a hefty citation. I am limited to specific speeds too. If rules are not obided by , the interstate could be quite the dangerous place.

Any time a poster refers to “Baghdad Bob”, he’s trolling in a sleazy manner. And been warned by the powers to be at risk of being banned.
