Bogaerts is definitely worse even if he still hits a little better than arenado just cuz of how freakin long the deal is and still a lot of money per year. Its brutal.

You are right on bryant being way worse as well on both the money and unlike arenado and Bogaerts who are just bad contracts for.mediocre play- bryant isnt even a usable player really and would be out of the league if not for his contract.

Trout isnt as bad a contract yet as he is still hitting pretty well albeit not at his prime levels but that contract could become ugly if he drops off more

No. Look at rockonlouies list. Theres several players who arent even playable as backups anymore making arenado money or more. Id venture arenados not even top 10 considering its just 2 years left. Doesnt mean its not bad but theres worse

You're right, but it's funny.
$1,193,248.20 from the Mets every July 1 from 2011 through 2035 is still a bit crazy.
A second deferred-contract plan with the Mets and Orioles pays him $500,000 a year for 25 years which began in 2004.
The back story is better -- as the Wilpons (Mets ownership) were heavily invested in a Bernie Madoff account that promised double-digit returns.

For the context of the contract, it may be the worst. It's destroying our franchise.
Getting below average play for that money is not sustainable for our TV market. Philly, LA, SD can absorb some bad contracts.
And a no trade clause to boot, which he refuses to soften on.

The Cardinals and Arenado will continue to spiral down to baseball hell, chained at the hip until he's gone. A death sentence.
