no matter who the cards receive in theri trades it will be deemed awful by the genius scouts here
it is amazing, you dont even have to look..you know that every trade the cards make will be determined to be awful by people here weho literally have zero information to make such a determination...it is like the people who tell you a draft pick is bad because somebody rated the prospect number10 and he was drafted 5...it is funny actually

I can look up these players and see how they’ve fared so far, and what I see is an A ball infielder who barely has hit .240. A starting pitcher in A ball who hardly goes 4 innings in any start.jbrach wrote: ↑30 Jul 2025 18:35 pm it is amazing, you dont even have to look..you know that every trade the cards make will be determined to be awful by people here weho literally have zero information to make such a determination...it is like the people who tell you a draft pick is bad because somebody rated the prospect number10 and he was drafted 5...it is funny actually

No I knew mo should have traded him in the offseason but he would be dumb and have to trade him for a meh return at the deadline so I wasn’t surprised or disappointed at all because mo is dumb and does dumb things like helsley and fedde well past their peak valuejbrach wrote: ↑30 Jul 2025 18:35 pm it is amazing, you dont even have to look..you know that every trade the cards make will be determined to be awful by people here weho literally have zero information to make such a determination...it is like the people who tell you a draft pick is bad because somebody rated the prospect number10 and he was drafted 5...it is funny actually

Why get one GOOD prospect when you can get three "eh...maybes"!
The headliner of this deal is BARELY hitting .240.

I don’t know what people were expecting. The return for Helsley was never going to wow anyone. He’s having a down year and he’s a rental.
Getting a high upside young power guy is pretty good. Plus two young swing and miss guys who are having good years. I mean, it’s fine.

Good haul for a guy who will pitch a few games for the last 8 weeks of the season .
Remember , if Helsley signs with Cardinals this winter during free agency those are bonus guys we got for essentially free of charge unless you are upset he wont pitch for these last 8 weeks.

Based on the Williams trade, I am still not convinced there were great offers in the offseason.Ozziesfan41 wrote: ↑30 Jul 2025 18:38 pmNo I knew mo should have traded him in the offseason but he would be dumb and have to trade him for a meh return at the deadline so I wasn’t surprised or disappointed at all because mo is dumb and does dumb things like helsley and fedde well past their peak valuejbrach wrote: ↑30 Jul 2025 18:35 pm it is amazing, you dont even have to look..you know that every trade the cards make will be determined to be awful by people here weho literally have zero information to make such a determination...it is like the people who tell you a draft pick is bad because somebody rated the prospect number10 and he was drafted 5...it is funny actually

I like the Baez kid.... the power potential is real....and he's only 20. His Walks and K's are near each other. I"ve seen him a few times, I just can't remember where....I guessed right...St. Lucie. He's now with Brooklyn...well...now he's with the Cards farm
let's see how it plays out.

Well we traded most of our starting staff a couple years ago for basically nothing
Guess can’t expect much for 1 Closer……

This is where people pretend they’ve scouted the Mets farm system religiously.

Yea. And the pitcher was just drafted last year and has a lot of the characteristics of the pitchers that we took in the draft this year, so it screams like it was a Team Bloom move.craviduce wrote: ↑30 Jul 2025 18:42 pm I like the Baez kid.... the power potential is real....and he's only 20. let's see how it plays out.
Let's see what we've got here. I'm sure people weren't thrilled when all they got for a young Ozuna was relative unknowns Alcantara and Gallen.
